On a small hill between the medieval villages Foix and Mirepoix, you find Villa La Carole. Some 6 miles from the villa, you find the famous mountain Mont Segur with the ruins of the castle from the 13th century. This is a must see! The painted caves, which you can find in Pyrenean Park of Prehistoric Art is also nearby, and the famous Niaux Cave with its beautiful paintings. When winter, the nearest ski resor, Ax le Thermest is only 20 minutes away, at the altitude of 1.500 meters. In the nearby lake 'Lac Montbelle' you can go swimming, sailing and fishing. The famous 'tax-free' paradise Andorra is only one hours drive from La Carole. The nearest baker is walking distance. Withing 2 kilometers, we have 2 great restaurants. The best is owned by Jimmy, our English friend. All in all this property offers all the comfort you desire on your vacation. Peace and quiet, spectacular views and sightseeing possibilities just outside the doorstep.

Ski - Alpine - sailing - rafting. Airport

There are several ski areas near by, The nearest is only 10 miles away. There are several within an hours drive.. We have a lot of facilities for sailing rafting etc, look at Ariege to see more about that - ask us for details. The nearest airport is Carcassonne, Toulouse, Perpignan.

There is a lovely new pool! And nice places in the garden to relax, the garden is ca 5.200m2, with fruit trees and other big trees for shadow in the summer.

There are lot of history in the area. Just to mention - Cathar, Religion, Crusades, Castles, Abbeys, Citadels and Canal du Midi.
