The only problem with staying at this place, was having to leave. The house really is fantastic, it's fitted out and maintained to a standard that I wish I could keep up at home. I am one of the worlds fussiest people when it comes to bathrooms, but these were even good enough for me. The lady from the village, who looks after the property, could not have been friendlier and more helpful.
So what were the highlights? Just simple things really, eating outside under the Chestnut tree, sitting at the beautiful Acacia wood table, made us want to sit there all afternoon. The beauty of this was that there was no reason not to.The pool is a real life saver, it was hot when we were there ( depite a generaly lousy summer ), and a cooling soak in a pool, considerably larger than the the handkerchief size puddles one often gets at holiday properties, was fantastic. I could carry on about small market towns and shaded country lanes, but the best thing you can do is book the place and see for yourself.
Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the trouble to feed back your very nice comments.
We do love Le Marronnier and are glad that our attention to detail is noticed. We always try to provide what we would expect to find in a holiday home and take pleasure from planning improvements from year to year.
