Lucca holiday chateau / country house: gragnano

We had a lovely holiday in this house which we filled at a certain moment with 10 people and hired for 13 days.
The best part was the very good( but unfenced pool) with no shallow end which forced the children to learn to swim. The garden, which was the only outside area apart from the pool where we could sit, was about 30mts from the house next to the generator for the wine and olive oil making business and had wonderful views and mosquitos so protection is essential. The cot and microwave that had been advertised were not in the house when we moved in but bought new for us. Bikes that were advertised never materialised. Neighbours had loud parties over the week-end until the early hours of the morning which did not go down well with us. House is simply decorated with plenty of storage. Galley kitchen is cosy with broken dishwasher which meant a lot of handwashing for ten people. Great place to visit nearby sites, Lucca and Pisa. Very hot and humid during August and we had only 1 electric fan. Ower/administrator helpful.Very good local wine and olive oil.
