Only 50 minutes drive from Geneva this bright, well equiped self-catering apartment has great views from the south facing balcony. The apartment is on the 1st floor of a superbly maintained chalet style building situated in the very heart of Les Carroz. The bedroom has 3 beds with two drop down beds and a sofa bed in the living room. The ski lifts, ski schools and nursery slopes are close by making it ideal for families and skiers of all abilities. There is a large ski cave in the basement and parking at the front of the apartment. Les Carroz is part of the extensive Grand Massif ski area of Flaine, Morillon, Sixt and Samoens and has an excellent snow record.

The traditional village of Les Carroz d'Araches is situated in the heart of the Grand Massif ski area. The new high speed gondola connects Les Carroz to the ski areas of Samoens, Flaine, Morillon and Sixt. Les Carroz is a delightful village with a good choice of bars, resurants and shops. For families with younger children there are superb child care facilities and for the non-skier plenty of activities including hot air ballooning, snow shoeing and dog sledging. The nearest ski rental shop is just below the apartment as is the bread shop(great for early morning croissants!). Les Carroz is also a great base for exploring other ski resorts such as Chamonix, Portes du Soleil, Les Contamines and Megeve which are only a short drive away. On a personal note we discovered Les Carroz 10 years ago when are youngest was only 2 years old. The children now ski race and travel all over Europe but our favourite resort is still Les Carroz.

Ski Information: The vast Grand Massif ski area is accessed by the new high speed telecabine from Les Carroz. There are 13 green, 41 blue, 56 red and 15 black runs. The ski area offers everything from gentle green runs to steep and challenging blacks. For those who like big air then the jam park in Flaine is the place to go with jumps graded from green to black! There is also a half- pipe plus a skier cross course. When conditions allow there are superb off piste areas in Les Carroz as well as big powder bowls in Flaine. Dont miss the scenic Cascades piste which is 14kms long blue running from Les Grandes Platieres down to the village of Sixt.

Ski Schools: There are two excellent ski schools in Les Carroz the ESF and Nouvelle Dimension both of which can be booked online.

Other Activities: Dog sledging, snowmobiles, ballooning, night skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating
