Designed originally by the renowned Caribbean architect, Wayne Brown, and a total refurbishment completed in September 2007 by one of the island's leading contractors for the present owners, this elegant property overlooks the calm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. The Villa Retreat is located on the exclusive North West Coast of St.Lucia and is conveniently situated close to Rodney Bay providing excellent shopping. The St.Lucia 18 hole golf course is minutes away.You will find some of the island’s finest restaurants nearby, while the international airport is approximately 75 minutes away. Carefully designed to take advantage of the breathtaking sea views, the split-level accommodation offers approximately 5,000 sq.ft. of living space and provides four beautifully appointed bedroom suites all with closets. The floors are finished with shell stone tiles throughout and all the bathrooms are beautifully finished with tiled floors and walls with glass insets. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. A stairway leads from the veranda down to the pool deck to the irresistible swimming pool. The house is fully wired for internal and external alarm systems. The garden is beautifully landscaped. In the evening, the grounds can be illuminated and floodlit. From the drive, the entrance foyer descends to an open-plan living/dining room featuring beautiful furnishings to complement the layout of the villa. The spacious sun deck with wet bar is perfect for informal dining. There is a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room.

| Notes: | The Villa has been recently refurbished to a very high spec. This is our family holiday home and no expense has been spared to make it as comfortable as possible to equal our own demanding needs, so you will not be disappointed. As the Villa is on Cap Estate we suggest you rent a car. Beaches are minutes away, we tend to drive there as we have 4 grandchildren to transport. The house is safe and comfortable, our agent can arrange for a chef to prepare meals for you. The maid/cleaner comes in twice a week (usually Mondays and Thursdays) to keep the place tidy and take care of the beds. Towels are provided for home, pool and beach use. The TV has over 30 channels. There is DVD player, a hands free phone and internet. There's a house safe and a sophisticated alarm system. Ed takes care of the pool and Michael looks after the beautiful garden, providing you with fresh flowers and fruit in season. |
About St.Lucia
In the eye of the tourist beholder, St Lucia is an archetypal island paradise. Its most dramatic scenery is in the south, where the twin volcanic peaks of the Pitons rise sharply from the shoreline to form distinctive landmarks. Much of the island is rural in nature: small coastal fishing villages give way to a hinterland of banana and coconut plantations folded within deep valleys topped by rich, mountainous jungle. The rugged terrain continues beneath the sea in a diving heaven of underwater mountains, caves and drop-offs and the coastline is pocketed with secluded coves and beaches made for one (or, naturally, for two at sunset). A spate of developments on St Lucia has made this high, green island one of the Caribbean's most fashionable destinations, but it's still a long way from being sanitised and overdeveloped.
Getting Around
Taxis are plentiful at the airports. Always establish the fare with the driver before you get in. St Lucia is only 44km (27mi) in length and 23km (14mi) in width, but its hilly terrain can slow you down. There are car rental agencies at the airports and at Rodney Bay. Unless you have an International Driving Permit, you'll need to purchase a local license, which can be picked up from immigration at both Hewanorra International Airport and Vigie Airport. If you don't get a license on arrival, most car rental companies will either issue one. Remember to drive on the left.
Terms and Conditions
1. The payment procedure is 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm booking. 2. Balance 45 days before arrival 3. All payments by certified check or direct bank transfer 4. Rates include all taxes 5. Cancellation policy : The guest acknowledges that the initial payment is non-refundable. If the guest cancels the reservation after the final payment and we can rent to another party for the same dates/times/rate then 50% would be returned. However the guest understands and acknowledges that the owner has no obligation to re-reserve upon guest's cancellation. The cancellation may be cancelled by the owner in the event the property is withdrawn from rental and in that event our liability to the guest is limited to the rental paid to date and does not cover air tickets and other travel related costs,
Golf Information:
There is an 18 hole Golf Course within minutes of the Villa. The new club house is luxurious, you have to see it to believe it and they do a reasonable lunch. Go visit, you don't have to play golf to be there. And if you do play, you get an electric golf buggy to drive yourself from hole to hole. You can rent clubs. They allow children on the Course too.

Having stayed in rented property all over the world it is not very often that you stay in a place where the owners have gone to such extraordinary lengths to ensure you feel at home, Villa Retreat is such a place.
The villa is incredibly spacious & comfortable, Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy white towels, big pillows, tasteful decor, friendly staff and that view will stay with us until our next visit.
Either beach is a short drive away and restaurants are fantastic. I enjoyed the local golf course is virtually on the doorstep. We never used the air conditioning, we simply had the shutters open to let the breeze through. We had the chef prepare lunch one day, outstanding.
It's hard to find fault, believe me if I could I would. We stayed there with our young children and two friends, there was lots of room and the poolside bedroom proved very useful for our friends.
