The Apartment is on the fifth floor of a stately palazzo on a beautiful small square with a central fountain in an historical neighborhood. From here, one can walk to all of Rome's most famous sites. The nearby Campo de' Fiori, a square with a bustling morning market, is a great place to purchase fresh food to cook for yourselves. For the guests that prefer to dine out, three wonderful restaurants are within a block or two and it is possible to sample true Roman cuisine. But this is the heart of the ancient Jewish quarter, so every one of the narrow, cobblestone streets is lined with small family-run shops in addition to four ancient temples. It is a car-free zone, so it is quiet for the area and the views from the balconies are just lovely with the red-roof tiles in the foreground and monuments in the background. The Pantheon and the Piazza Navona are each about a 5 minutes' walk away and the Capitoline Museums and splendid views from the Capitoline Hill.
