How is it like outside the high season ?: Winters are mild, can be a bit chilly in the evening but very nice as soon as the sun comes through. Late autumn and early spring are even better, plenty of days with pleasant temperatures, having lunch on the terrace, playing golf, walking at the beach or in the hills. And the best part is that it is not so crowded, so a great period to visit Barcelona or Girona.
Wine and food: The Costa Brava is little-known for its wines and that is a pity because lovely wines are being made. They combine perfectly with both sea food and meats. Palamos is especially famous for its prawns (gamba's), spanish people drive all the way up from Barcelona to taste them. But there are many other fantastic sea food platters, but also very tasty sausages and the marvellous beef from Girona.
Golf: The Costa Brava is just great for playing golf. Within 35 minutes from the apartment you can find 7 beautiful courses, two of them even with 36 holes, the others all have 18 holes. To mention just a few : the PGA Golf Catalunya is an official Championship course in a fantastic surrounding and the Golf d'Aro course is situated on on hill top and has splendid views of the sea and the mountains.
