Main house - “La Fornace” 5 bedrooms: 2 doubles, one with en suite bathroom; 2 with twin beds and one with 2 beds. Spacious second bathroom upstairs. Downstairs: Hall, spacious sitting/dining-room, fully equipped kitchen (gas/electric stove,dishwasher,fridge-freezer), Wash-room( washing machine / iron+board/ fridge-freezer, large shower room / loo. Kitchen leads out to small terrace and dining loggia with marble table. Seats 10-12 with ease. BBQ. Secluded child friendly pool area. Hammock. Fantastic west facing views. All bedrooms have wire netting on windows and beds have mosquito nets. All household items provided – house cleaned weekly / beds changed by professional service. No heating so spring and summer rental only. Fornace, facing west, is half of a larger building, the other half, facing east, is owned by a Sienese family who generally come at weekends in the summer.

Other towns within striking distance are Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico D'Orcia and Perugia. Places of interest nearby are the hot springs at Bagno Vignoni, the monastery at Monte Olivetti Maggiore and the Val D'Orcia.

  • The Fienile can be rented separately for £ 700.00 per week, it doesn't cost extra when Fornace ( the main house ) is booked. We don't rent the two properties to different clients at the same time.
  • A deposit of Eu 200 will be required for the key to the safe.
    Should a cook be required their fee is not included.
    The telephone at the property is Pay as You Go.
  • THERE IS NO CENTRAL HEATING IN THE PROPERTY SO SPRING, SUMMER AND EARLY AUTUMN RENTALS ARE ADVISED.

Notes: The Fienile, a renovated haystore, situated 50 meters from the main house sleeps 2. There is a kitchen/dining area downstairs and double bed upstairs. The shower is downstairs and has wheelchair access. There are also 2 divan beds downstairs. There is wheelchair access to the main house but the stairs might be a problem If given enough notice a local person will come and cook and there is a twice weekly cleaning service with sheets and towels changed on Saturdays The pool is fenced to ensure the safety of small children. There is an English speaking custodian nearby who can deal with any queries and give advice.
