Lovely large house in peaceful Normandy setting with views over surrounding countryside. Comfortably furnished with 1/2 acre lawned garden in small valley hamlet 20 minutes drive to nearest beach, 1/2 hour from Dieppe. 5 bedrooms: Second floor - 1 master bedroom with ensuite shower room and WC. First floor: 3 double bedrooms (2 with ensuites) and one large dormitory with 8 single beds. Large bathroom and WC on landing. Cot. All beds very comfortable. Ground floor: Fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, dining room seating 16, sitting room with 3 sofas and large open fireplace. Further sitting room with 3 sofas and Toshiba flat screen TV and DVD. WC on ground floor. Outside: Barn converted to games room with table tennis, table football and darts. Badminton in garden. Plenty of walks into the surrounding countryside direct from the property. Beaches, forests, markets, restaurants, golf course, horse riding - all a short drive away. Calais 1.5 hours by car

Supermarket shopping is easy thanks to Auchan at Eu (Mers les Bains) and Dieppe. For golf lovers, there's a wonderful golf course at Dieppe overlooking the sea. Walkers will enjoy beautiful scenery with lots of ancient churches, beautiful forests, old bridal paths and coastal walks. Take your bikes and keep fit on the country roads. Just after Dieppe is the beautiful village of Varengeville with the Jardins de Moutiers - good for a day out - the spectacular gardens were designed by Gertrude Jekyll and surround the arts and crafts Lutyens house. For those wanting a quiet week, enjoy the tranquility of the garden with a good book and a glass of wine!

The Presbytery

We have had a great week with our 2 sons and their families. The 6 grandchildren loved the dormitory and we loved the seclusion of the top bedroom. Plenty of room indoors and a large garden with lots of activities for everyone - all set in a beautiful tranquil village.
We would definitely recommend the house to friends.

Great house for large groups

As a group of 3 families, this house was ideal.

The children loved sleeping in the dorm together and made very good use of the trampoline, table tennis and table football in the play room. It was good to be able to eat together as a group - there was plenty of seating indoor and out, and the BBQ was a good size too. The property was clean throughout (including bedding) and the beds were very comfortable.

In terms of location: it is very peaceful (once you get past the geese!!). The nearest shops are a short drive away. The local beaches are mainly pebble, but very clean and well-monitored by life guards. In Dieppe the children enjoyed the funicular railway. You can park at the top and take it down to the bottom of the cliff (no charge) and it's only 2min to the beach from there. We did drive to the sandy beach at Fort Mahon plage, but it was a long drive and beach was very busy. The steam train from St Valery was a nice trip.

I would certainly recommend this property to large groups of friends / family.

Fab venue for family Ruby Wedding celebration

Celebrating our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with the family was a very special occasion and we couldn't have wished for a more special place to do this than the Presbytery. The House and surroundings certainly lived up to expectations. We stayed with our children and grand children (6 adults and 6 children aged from 9-18 months) This is an ideal house for staying with children who all loved the garden, playroom and trampoline. We had wonderful weather and spent most of time around property BBQ every night and lots of badminton and star gazing but also found time to enjoy Dieppe Le Treport and lovely rock pooling at local beach Criel sur Mer. The house is comfortable well equipped and spacious enough for everyone to have their own space. Home from home indeed. Look forward to returning sometime soon. Would definitely recommend to friends Thank you

Beautiful surroundings and loads of room

We stayed at the Presbytere for the first week in August, 8 adults and 4 children. There was so much for the children to do in the lovely big garden that they were never bored, and the house was very big and had everything that you could want.
The views over the fields at the back of the house were wonderful, especially early in the morning.
Lots of attractions are within a short driving distance and I would definitely recommend the Presbytere to anyone who wants a beautiful, rural location that is also near beaches and local markets.

We rented the house for a family weekend and had a wonderful experience. The house is perfect for children especially the dorm room that sleeps seven children.The setting is rural and we enjoyed it so much we barely left to go into Le Tréport or Dieppe (the nearest seaside towns).

We can definitely recommend it to families in particular.
