The Village of Canoa Quebrada is located in the district of Aracati and it offers visitors several leisure options. During the day, besides the beautiful beach, there is plenty of shade and the service of many thatched-roofed, carnauba wood kiosks that line the beach. There are also many dune buggy rides over the sand dunes, “skibunda” (rides down high dunes on boards), sea rafts, horses, 'parajipe' (para gliders pulled by jeeps), 'banana boats' and many souvenir shops. There are many several restaurants that offer different specialties, with flexible hours. There is also a very lively nightlife with nightclubs that stay open from 11:30PM to sunrise. Over the past years, an urbanisation project has changed the villages look. The main street, called Broadway, has been paved and began to concentrate most of the novelties and attractions. The beach in turn conserved sections without houses or stands, attracting many foreign tourists.

The region’s climate is less dry semi-arid. The average annual temperature is around 24ºC – with an average annual high of 32ºC, and a low of 21ºC. The sun is present all year. The place is perfect for KITE SURFING-SURF. From Airport in Fortaleza, there is a bus that leaves every half hour to the Fortaleza bus station. When arriving at the city’s bus station, there are many companies that go to Aracati – some go straight to Canoa Quebrada. The trip from Fortaleza to Canoa Quebrada takes, on average, 4 hours, and access is over the state highway CE-004. At the airport it's possible to rent a car.
