We specifically cater for families with children - We have a large TV/play room with two large comfy sofas, sky+ access, a very large selection of children’s toys & games from dressing up clothes to train sets & dolls house, a huge library of videos, DVD’s & books. For families travelling with babies we supply, a steriliser, bottle warmer, food blender, a travel cot, changing mat, baby bath, high chair, push chair & bouncy chair.

Notes to the rental rates

• Prices are based on up to 6 adults and 7 children sharing the property. Prices are advertised in GBP, however, payments are taken in Euros on an exchange rate of 1.30%. Credit Card payments are accepted, a 2% surcharge applies with this method of payment. Alternatively payments can be made by international bank transfer.
  
• Prices for long winter lets are based on one family sharing. Bedding, electric, gas, water, personal taxes, sky packages or any fuel is not included within the price and is the responsibility of the tenant to pay.
  
• Luxury 100% cotton bed linen is supplied within the price, as well as bath towels and bathroom hand towels. We also offer large 100% cotton beach towels for hire (saves that bit of extra room in the car on the way home for the great bottles of wine!)

10 x 5 Heated swimming pool and toddler pool

The swimming pool has been specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind. The pool has both a safety fence and a child safety gate & so conforms fully to French safety laws. The shallow end of the pool has large steps which have been made wider than normal - one is a metre wide which makes an ideal area for young babies and toddlers to play in. The shallow end is only 1.05m deep (i.e. shallower than normal), so young children can stand in the water easily. The shallow end then gradually slopes down to a depth of 1.55m. The pool is surrounded by 120m2 of timber decking with plenty of sun loungers for sunbathing. The pool has a large terrace next to the pool steps where the whole family can relax and enjoy themselves. The private terrace area overlooks the gardens and children's play area. The shade of the gazebo gives a welcome break from the midday sun - it is also the perfect spot to relax.

Local Activities to keep you entertained......

For the more energetic, the beach has a 6-hectare area of water for people wishing to learn water sports. The 'Cercle Nautique Tranchais' offers sailing, windsurfing, kite-surfing and sand-sailing. The area is also superb for boating and surfing enthusiasts The large fishing port of l'Aiguillon is just 10 minutes away. Early risers can choose from a range of freshly-caught fish, mussels, oysters, langoustine and gambas at the town's fish market which is open every weekday at 5am. Those who prefer a lie-in can sample the seafood later in the day at one of the many wonderful fish restaurants in the town. From La-Tranche-sur-Mer take a 45 minute boat ride to the beautiful island of Ile de Re and the famous port of St Matin - Highly recommended for a superb locally caught lunch and then visit all of the wonderful boutiques and antique shops dotted around the many lanes.

Especially for the little ones.....

We cater especially for families with children. You will find a large library of books (babies to teenagers), a huge collection of videos, board games for the entire family, a great selection of toys which includes dressing up clothes and train sets - everything you could possibly need to keep the little ones entertained. Also supplied FREE are a high chair, travel cot, changing unit, pushchair, sterilising kit, bottle warmer and plastic crockery & cutlery. We also have an English mother of two who we highly recommend for BABY-SITTING should you wish to go out and experience the delights of our local restaurants. For the big boys......we also have a projector TV on an impressive screen with the full sky + including sports and movies channels!!
