In Luchon, French Pyrenees, part of the Super Bagneres ski area. Self-catering two bedroom apartment, sleeps 6 with a double sofa bed in the lounge. Close to village amenities, ski lifts, and summer activities. There is also a separate toilet/shower room, lounge/dining room and kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven and plenty of storage. Situated in the centre of the beautiful spa town of Bagneres de Luchon, just 4 minutes walk to the ski lift which takes you to the ski area of 'Superbagneres'. It is on the 2nd floor of an old French house and is very spacious. Bagneres de Luchon has plenty of shops and bars just on your door step. The activities in the summer are extensive. They range from mountain bike to para pending, or just swimming in the local outdoor pool, situated in the town, just 10 minutes walk away. The spa town of Bagneres de Luchon is also known as the “Queen of the Pyrenees”, and is within 1.5 hours drive of either Pau or Toulouse airports. The apartment is well-situated within this traditional spa town, to enjoy the restaurants, bars and shops. Mountain biking is a key feature of the area and the location is often close to or part of, the Tour de France route. Winter activities include skiing and snowboarding in the local Superbagneres ski area. The main street, allée d'Étigny, lined with cafés, restaurants, shops and snack bars, has a distinctly metropolitan elegance and bustle. Experience the atmosphere of the resort in the evenings with its cinema, disco or even the Casino. Perched high above Luchon at 1860m on a sun-drenched mountain balcony surrounded by breathtaking vistas of the Haute Pyrenees is Superbagneres, which can be accessed by gondola from the town centre or by a 20 minute drive. The 1200m climb from Luchon has the greatest vertical drop in the Pyrenees.
