Villas Dodi & Iana are wonderful retreats for any holiday rental in Tuscany. The spacious homes are newly built, modern villas situated in the picturesque town of Pietrasanta nestled at the foot of the Alpi Apuane and only 2 miles from the famous Versilia beaches. These 'twin' properties with the same layout & facilities - sit in a pretty residential area and are spread over 3 floors; the ground floor includes a lounge with plasma TV & DVD player, WC, well equipped kitchen and 2 bedrooms with en suites - one with whirlpool bath. Both the kitchen and lounge lead onto a relaxing portico, perfect for al fresco dining. The taverna (basement) has a further lounge and kitchen, a dining area and an additional bathroom plus a utility room with washing machine. The loft is light and airy with 2 bedrooms with en suites. There is air conditioning throughout and mosquito nets on all windows & doors. There are landscaped gardens, electronic gates, parking & the villas share a driveway.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Weekly rental rates include gas (during summer months), water, bed linen and towels but no beach towels. Normal consumption of electricity i.e. up to 12kWh/day is included in the rental rate, if your use of electricity is over and above this average daily amount then you will be charged for the extra usage - £0.25/kWh used. There is a final cleaning charge of £90. Heating (gas) will be charged during winter months. We request a security deposit of £350 which will be refunded once the property has been inspected and damages (if necessary), electricity & cleaning have been deducted - deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your departure.
  • 25% of total rental rate is required to secure booking and balance (including security deposit) is due 8 weeks prior to first day of holiday. If booking within 8 weeks of first day of holiday full payment is required at time of booking.
  • For full terms, flexibility on shorter stays during the low season or any other information please do not hesitate to contact the owner.

Notes: Each villa has the following facilities: 2 kitchens with 1 or 2 ovens each, a dishwasher, cooker and fridge freezer. Both kitchens have a breakfast bar to seat 4, there is also a garden table on the portico to seat 8 and a further dining area in the basement to seat 8+. In the ground floor lounge there is a sofa plus additional poufs to seat a total of 8. In the basement lounge there is a further sofa. There are also 2 sun loungers. Linen and towels are supplied but please provide your own beach towels. The utility room includes a washing machine, ironing board and iron. There are 2 shallow steps into the property and with 2 bedrooms on the ground floor this means the villas are suitable for the elderly or infirm.

Beach / pools: Versilia is famous for its beautiful wide, sandy beaches. There are free beach areas but also private bathing establishments or 'bagni' - these are full service beaches many of which have fantastic pools, as well as the usual umbrellas, 'tende', sun loungers, deck chairs and cabins they also have restaurants, cafes, bars and many other excellent facilities.

Viareggio Carnival: Villa Dodi and Villa Iana are great bases to experience the famous Viareggio Carnival. This spectacular event - one of the finest and grandest in Italy takes place throughout Mardi Gras each year. Celebrations include a wide programme of entertainment and fun for adults and children, the famous paper mache floats; works of art in themselves that take a year to create, parades, performances, public festivities and masques balls. A fantastic event not to be missed!

Local shops: There are 2 supermarkets (Coop & Conad) within easy reach of Villa Dodi and Iana plus a corner shop within walking distance.

'This has been a wonderful holiday. The villa is exceptional - all conceivable needs have been catered for. Pietrasanta is a super place to visit especially in the evenings. Wonderful

As a group of 15 people we stayed in both Villa Dodi and Iana for 5 days. The pictures on the website does not give the full justice these modern villas deserve. They were clean, modern, secure and most importantly had everything you needed to enjoy a perfect break away. We used the villas as a base for a wedding in Pietrasanta and they were ideally located within a 10 minute walk to the town centre, a 5 minute walk to either supermarket and a 10 minute walk to the train station. Ideally you will need a car to operate out from, the beach being a 5/10 minute drive away, but its a perfect base to travel around Tuscany.

The booking process was smooth and easy and on arrival we were met by Gianfranco who was very helpful and explained how everything worked and where everything was located. In our party we had 3 children from the ages of 4 to 1 and the villas were child friendly, ideal as they could watch tv and dvd's in the comfortable lounge area, or play on the lawn.

The villas are massive, very big and beautifully decorated, with no corners being cut. The BBQ's are easy to use and the big outside tables, with ample cutlery and serving dishes were ideal for a big BBQ and homemade Italian feast!

I would strongly recommend staying in the above Villa's (both identical) and Oriana was a pleasure to deal with.

We are thinking about returning at some point next year with the rest of our families to explore more of Tuscany as Florence and Pisa etc etc are only a short drive away.

Perfect is a word I would describe these Villa's and they will appeal to everyone, any age! If you are staying in Pietrasanta, look no further!

We stayed in Villa Dodi in the summer of 2009 and it was really fabulous.
The Villa was everything it was promissed to be and more!
Lots of space, nice and clean but also very comfortable and cosy. A great place to spent a holiday.
All this and of course beautiful Tuscane and lovely Pietrasanta made are family holiday unforgettable.

Just perfect

A joy from beginning to end.
The villa is within easy reach of Pisa airport, and easy to find close to the centre of the beautiful town of Pietrasanta, where there are some excellant restaurants and laid back bars.
We were greeted by Franco who could not have been more accommodating and he has a first class knowledge of the area.
The villa has everything one could wish for, and more! From whirlpool bath to beautiful gardens the whole plece is almost new, very well laid out and totally spotless, a credit to the owners. What is not obvious from the photos is the sheer size of the villa, spread over three large floors it is very spacious indeed.
The villa is in a quiet part of town but there are two very good supermarkets close by, where we indulged ourselves with some proper Italian food. A very short drive or 10 minute walk took us into town where there is a mainline railway station that we used to travel up the coast. A few minutes in the other direction and you are on the beach. And what a beach, relaxed during the day then lively at night. The wide promenade takes you down to the sophisticated town of Viareggio, that is a must for a spot of window shopping - and a vist to the ice cream parlour!
A great place for touring Tuscany whether by car of train, and make sure you take a drive into the nearby mountains.
The only thing I did not like about the whole holiday was leaving, and I cant wait to go back!

We found your house amazing, and enjoy our stay there very much. The welcoming of Gianfranco were very much appreciated.

The Villa Dodi was very nice house, very luxurious, with a lot conveniences.
Situated in a peaceful and safe area, near the beach and downtown Pietra Santa.
Many Tuscany touristic towns and villages have easy access from Pietra Santa.
We would not hesitate to recommand this house to our friends.
