Traditional Portuguese Villa situated just 350m from the beach and resort centre. Originally built as a summer retreat for a large Lisbon family, it is set in its own private grounds and boasts a family-sized pool (solar heated in winter), poolside patio/barbecue area and large lawn, ideal for relaxing or playing games in the afternoon shade. The Villa can comfortably accommodate up to 12 people in 3 double bedrooms (2 ensuite) and 3 twin bedrooms (1 ensuite). Ground floor features: large double lounge with 3 sofas, TV and DVD; Large dining room; Fully-kitted kitchen; Utility/breakfast room; Private double bedroom with ensuite; Main bathroom off the entrance hall - all decorated to a high standard in a fusion of traditional and modern taste. Upstairs the spacious landing area leads to 2 double and 3 twin bedrooms. 1 twin and double bedroom have access to a large 25 sq m sun terrace with stunning 180° panoramic views from the Sintra hills to the sea. the 3rd double as a small balcony.

  • All bathrooms have be modernised (June 2008) with new suites, fixtures & fittings and modern lighting. Designed in matt white tiles with highlights in mosaics and marble, decorated tastefully to a high standard. For use during low season all bathrooms have underfloor heating and heated towel rails. 2 double bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms with large shower cubicles. Shared shower room and WC upstairs and a master bathroom downstairs- bath with shower, WC. One twin as a ensuite bathroom - bath with shower. There is a pool changing room in the garden which has a shower, 2 basins and WC. Also an outside cold shower by the pool. All HOT WATER supplied to the house is solar-heated (supported by electric boiler in low season, any excess hot water is vented into the pool)

  • On the first floor we have 5 bedrooms off a large landing area. Ist double bedroom with traditional furniture and decor with ensuite shower room and 1st twin bedroom with traditional furniture and décor, fitted wardrobes and ensuite bathroom, both open on to a 25 sq. m sun terrace with stunning views east to the Sintra hills, south across the green river valley and west to the sea. The balcony is an all day sun trap. 2nd double traditional furniture and decor, fitted wardrobes plus a small balcony (6 sq. m) overlooking the lawn and with a sea view to the setting sun in the west. The 2nd and 3rd twin rooms are on the east side and get the early morning sun. Shared shower room with facilities upstairs and a separate master bathroom off the main hallway on the ground floor. The 6th double bedroom (formally the maid's room) is on the ground floor located through the breakfast room and has an ensuite shower room. It's traditional furnished and decorated with views south through window.

All of this is within 5 minutes walking distance of the villa - the Lido with its Olympic-sized swimming pool with water slides, a children's playground, tennis courts and 5-a-side pitch. A morning market selling everything from fresh fish and freshly grilled chicken, to beachwear and toy. The fabulous fine sandy beach (supervised by lifeguards in the summer season). The tram terminus to Sintra. All the main fish restaurants, brasseries and cafes. Some overlook the beach, with sea views west to the setting sun. A pizza restaurant, craft shops, bakers and a fine butcher (just around the corner from the centre).
