Simply the Best - Casa Castello

My first visit to Carvoeiro was 2004, Ann had visited previously in 1995, and since then we have stayed in hotels, villas and apartments for our annual return to this beautiful resort. On every occasion we walked around the village daily and decided upon the next place to stay, the ‘hidden gem’ that is Casa Castello was finally discovered in 2006 after staying next door that year.
Such is the charm, location and friendly welcome at Castello, along with the clean and inviting way that Castello is presented upon arrival that we look no further, we have found the best. As a result our annual visit has now grown to two visits and still we never tire of the village nor Castello and its spectacular views and sunsets.
Every year we find further improvements that have been made to Castello, showing that it is possible to improve upon perfection and Jorge along with Mrs. Eunice have continually ensured that the accommodation remains the best possible, coupled with their friendly and always efficient handling of anything that may arise during our stay.
Casa Castello is situated at the edge of a cliff offering uninterrupted views across the Atlantic Ocean and the West coastline of Portugal, it enjoys some of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever seen. From the apartment, the beach is a two minute stroll down the hill, as are all the amenities you need to make your holiday as stress-free and transport-free as possible.
Castello is an ideal starting point for walks across the cliff tops and around the locality, and although Carvoeiro is a village comprising many hills, none of these are too arduous to walk on a daily basis, or more frequently as you choose. The village has many bars, coupling great sports TV coverage and some fabulous live music as you may require, and restaurants that offer beautiful fresh fish along with local and international dishes. All are served with friendly and attentive staff. However the finest place to eat offering the finest views possible is the roof terrace at Castello where the sunset can make the simplest salad seem like a feast.
So Ann and I do not scout around for our next holiday destination, nor search for the best accommodation in our chosen resort. We have done all that and we are delighted to have found our ideal place, Casa Castello. As long as Jorge and Mrs Eunice welcome us, as they always have done, then we will continue to visit.
You will not be disappointed if you stay at Castello.
