"LA FUENTE VIEJA" is a romantic, unique and captivating hacienda style villa, delightfully furnished, filled with rustic antiques, beautiful original paintings & other interesting authentic objects of art. From the burnished copper pots in the huge open hearth to the stunning Catalan vaulted ceiling, every object is a feature in this lovely enveloping house A spacious, comfortable lounge & several dining areas are peppered with bouquets of dried flowers, large bowls of pot pourri. and it is serviced by the open plan kitchen and bar area. From this a large pantry leads directly to the BBQ area and the enchanting ancient spring filled with colorful goldfish and Koi . The lounge also has direct access to the shady front terrace and gardens where pleasing seating and dining areas abound overlooking the national park Alcornocales & the river Hozgarganta. As captivating as the house is, it's glories are certainly rivaled in the exotic beauty & tranquility of the tropical gardens .

"LA FUENTE VIEJA" is a beautifully furnished villa where,when entering you feel immediately at home and where every comfort and entertainment is provided for both young and old The 400sq meter villa is set within 2000sq meters of mature tropical gardens with private pool surrounded by ancient walls. It borders the national park providing lovely walks right from the front gate into pure nature, a bird watchers paradise. The house consists of a 110sq meter lounge with lofty vaulted ceilings,several dining areas,open plan kitchen a bar plus a large pantry leading to the fish filled ancient spring. Off the main entrance hall is a library and study area with cloak/bathroom for those who want to do some quiet reading. A non balustraded staircase leads upstairs to a library landing storing books for every taste, 3 double bedrooms, 2 further bathrooms, a large laundry plus a lovely shady terrace over looking the gardens, river and national park. A caretaker is on call 24 hours a day.

Jimena de la Frontera is seeped in ancient history and has an abundance of traditional Tapa bars and restaurants. La Fuente Vieja is situated on the river Hozgargante in the Alcornocales national park which is a bird watching paradise. There are beautiful walks along the river with plenty of quiet spots to enjoy a picnic. No cars, just the occasional regal horseman enjoying the scenery with you. The property is perfectly situated for a variety of day trips......Seville, Jerez, Arcos, Ronda and other well known white villages. Also along the Mediterranean coast to the beaches of the famous Costa del Sol, Marbella, Sotogrande, Gibraltar, and the beaches of the Costa de la Luz, Tarifa, Bolonia, Cadiz (on the Atlantic coast). A 35 minute trip by Hovercraft is an easy day trip to Tangiers, Morrocco. Nearest airports are Gibraltar (approx 40 min), Malaga (approx 90 min.) and Jerez de la Frontera (approx 1 hour).

A light and airy yellow room with double pine bed and views overlooking the mountains, completes the trio. A laundry room with washing machine & lovely views also leads off the landing.

Archaeological tours: Jimena, is a picturesque, traditional white village which is only a short walk away, and is seeped in history with its ancient Roman and Moorish Castle, and surrounding archaeological sites, including cave paintings and other monuments. It has an abundance of traditional tapas bars and restaurants, an International yearly Jazz Festival, and other cultural interests.

Day trips: La Fuente Vieja is well placed for visiting other white villages, and places of historical interest, as well as both the Atlantic and Mediterranean beaches. The real Spain in tranquil comfortable surroundings but perfectly situated for day trips to Seville, Jerez, Arcos, Ronda, Granada and along the coast you have Sotogrande, Marbella, Gibraltar, Tarifa, and a 35 minute day-trip by Hovercraft to Tangiers, Morrocco. Overall, La Fuente Vieja, is a magical retreat, surrounded by spectacular natural beauty. It is a place where one can come to peace, surrounded by unspoilt nature, but with the advantage of being within a short range of fascinating places to visit. Jimena, itself, is only a short walk/drive away, filled with a variety of charming and authentic little restaurants and tapa bars.

Golf: Only 20 minutes from Valderrama golf course in Sotogrande, which is well-known for it's international standard polo fields and top class marina and beaches.
