Perfect location at the quiet end of the beach, in a secure complex. The property was very clean and in good working order, and sitting out on the balcony overlooking the sea was just bliss. It gets the morning sun but then nothing again for the rest of the day, so that is when you can retire to the lovely, well maintained gardens. The property is very much as the pictures describe. The pool and outside area is amazing, but unfortunately is closed for siesta between 2-5pm. There is an Esso garage for fresh bread and limited (overpriced) groceries, opposite the rear of the property, and two supermarkets within a very short walk. The property managers office is only a block away, and they were very good giving us telephone numbers and contact details, should we need anything. You do not need a car at this property and the tram stop is a 10-15 minute walk away, giving access to Alicante and all the way along to coast to Denia. Very little English is spoken in El Campello (take a phrase book), and we found mostly Spanish people holidaying here, so a great cultural experience unlike Benidorm. Plenty of restaurants to choose from along the promenade, and although we tried many, the food was average and sometimes overpriced. The supermarket in town (Supermercado?) is fantastic, and we enjoyed many meals at home out on the balcony. The only downside to the apartment is not having aircon.
