Newly constructed in 2004, the location is in a beautiful, romantic setting with both mountain and sea views and is ideal for all the family. Coast/Beach: Only 5-10 minutes by taxi or car to the main beaches and the award winning Marina at Benalmadena with its luxury bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Nestled on the side of a mountain, you can walk down to the beach in 15 minutes although it is a little steep in places, especially on the way back! Golf: Benalmadena has many golf courses within 10 to 15 minutes from the town those interested will be provided details when reserving. Skiing: Skiing in the winter months is available in Sierra Nevada, which can be reached by car in approximately one hour or via the various ski trips available by the local tour operators. Travel: Approximately 15 minutes from Malaga airport. Distances: La Reserva Del Higueron is set in between Benalmadena and Fuengirola either of which are only 10-15 minutes away, where there is much to do for all the family. Marbella and Puerto Banus with the famous millionaire’s yachts and high-class clubs and bars, is around 25-30 minutes away.

    On booking, we would ask for a 30% holding deposit to reserve the apartment for the period. The balance should be paid along with a £250 refundable breakage deposit SIX WEEKS before departure.
    This luxury property is usually reserved Saturday to Saturday but on occasions, a request for mid-week bookings can be taken, depending on occupancy levels. Deposit reserves the weeks booked with full payment due two weeks prior to holiday reservation dates.

Driving Directions From The Airport: Follow the exit road and after the roundabout you'lll see the 'San Miguel' brewery on your right. Take the right lane for the Western Costa del Sol and Algeciras. This lane joins the N340 coast road heading West to Benalmadena. Take the Exit 217 signposted Mijas and Benalmadena. At the bottom of exit road turn left and go under the bridge. You will see a Shell station and the Security Gatehouse of Reserva del Higueron immediately in front of you. On entering you will need to follow the road straight down, at the first roundabout turn left. At the next roundabout turn left again. You will see the Country Club on your right, drive just past and turn right down the slope toward our garaging beneath the building. Press the remote button, open the gate and follow until you arrive at the space numbered 21 on your left (NB: there are two number 21's).

Country Club & Spa/: The Country Club and Spa which is literally only two minutes walk away has a heated indoor pool, spa, sauna, turkish bath, gym, beauty treatments, restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, tennis and paddle courts and children's play area. Just 10 minutes drive away is the charming harbour of Puerto Marina in Benalmadena. With its many Spanish and international restaurants you will find this a great place to eat out and sample the choices on offer. Take a walk to see all the yachts in the marina, go fishing or Dolphin watching, visit the Selwo Marina Park, take take a cable car ride up to the peak of the Carramolo mountain, visit the Tivoli or go for a long stroll along the beach.

Things you need to know about the area: Railways: The railway station for Benalmadena is located in Arroyo de la Miel, close to the Tivoli Theme Park. Trains run from here to Fuengirola and Malaga. Train travel is cheap and very efficient. Buses: The coastal bus service runs along the seafront road. There is also an excellent circular service running between the village (Benalmadena Pueblo) and the port. Market Days - Arroyo de la Miel: Flea market - Wednesday Normal market - Friday morning Normal market - Sunday morning Mijas (about 10 mins drive from the apartment) Mijas is a traditional Andalucian village with whitewashed streets, nestling in a mountain landscape. In Mijas the following events take place throughout the month. Every Tuesday (except July and August). Weekly Flamenco shows organised by the town hall at midday in the main square in Mijas village. The entertainers are the municipal dance group and spectators are offered a free glass of Malaga wine, courtesy of the Mijas Tourist Office.

Ski: Skiing in the winter months is available in Sierra Nevada, which can be reached by car in approximately one hour or via the various ski trips available by the local tour operators.

we`ve used this apartment now for 2 yrs & found it to be a well maintained apartment in an excellent complex,we find it a safe & friendly environment especially as we have 2 young children.we would gladly use the apartment again & would recommend it to anyone.

Family Holiday

Have now used this holiday apartment twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both holidays. We travelled as a family of four (with 2 difficult to please teenagers) and a fantastic time was had by all.

We found the apartment to be exceptionally clean, well equipped and luxuriously furnished. Visiting in August we very much appreciated the air conditioning. We made good use of the balcony enjoying breakfast and lunch overlooking the pretty landscaped garden and pool area.

A large amount of our stay was spent at the pool area. The pool and the gardens were exceptionally well maintained throughout our time there. Both pools were a lovely temperature to swim in and never felt too busy or overcrowded. Obviously having the sun loungers supplied with the apartment also means not having to get up at a ridiculously early time to secure a sun bed for the day.

On a practical note we found the supermarket (at the top of the complex) to be very well stocked. We found everything we wanted and it seemed to be reasonably priced.

We drove out to a different resort each evening and always found a good of choice of restaurants. There were many varied facilities and activities all within a short drive. You can really do as much or as little as you please.

We found the owners to be very helpful and informative. They provided very useful information, including directions etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone. We would happily return for a third visit.

This apartment is in an ideal situation, being close to all the main resorts and also close to local shops. The apartment itself is furnished to a very high standard, and the pool area and surroundings are well set out and well maintained. The description is certainly accurate and all dealings that we had with the owner went smoothly.
I would not hesitate to recommend.

This apartment is lovely, very clean and tidy. It has everything that you want/need. The grounds are well maintained. I thought the additional cost of the gym and spa was quite expensive. I would recommend that you hire a car.

Excellent service from the owener. excellent location, the place is very tidy and clean. two large swimming pools. everything is provided including sun bed chairs by the pool side.
many restaurant within one mile. Benalmadena Pueblo is a must for eating.
