Kilberry sits mid way between Tarbert and Lochgilphead on the B8024 in an area of outstanding natural beauty with sandy beaches and rocky headlands where you can watch spectacular sunsets. To the south is the harbour town of Tarbert where you can enjoy pony trekking, sea fishing and sailing and the coastal road down to the Mull of Kintyre takes you past the world class surfing beach and golf course at Macrahanish to the Spring bank distillery in Campbeltown. Or take a short ferry ride from Tarbert to the island of Gigha and spend the day. To the north is Kilmartin glen with its standing stone circles and Bronze Age engravings and Dunadd fort where the kings of the ancient kingdom of Dalriada were crowned. Walk or cycle along the Crinan Canal, an 18th century shortcut for yachtsmen from Loch Fyne to the Atlantic. Or explore Knapdale forest and see stunning views over Moine Mhor nature reserve. There are plenty of restaurants in which to enjoy local beef, venison and seafood.
