Moraira is a quieter and more sophisticated area of the costa blanca, no high rise hotels and no mass tour operators and no Mcdonalds! Mainly family villas, a lovely sandy beach with children's play area and beach bar, fabulous cosmopolitan restaurants from typical Spanish tapas to Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, you name it Moraira has it. A superb yacht marina, trendy bars and cobbled streets with plenty of boutiques. A regular Friday market. Moraira is within 30 minutes of some of Europes best theme parks and close to lovely old mountain villages. In the centre of Moraira is a small fun fair ideal for children. For the more active diving, golf, jet skis, walking and cycling are all readily accessible.

There were 14 of us staying at Casa Maria to celebrate my husband's birthday. The villa was ideal for our party and we all had a fantastic time. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious as was the dining room and lounge although we did spend most of our time in the kitchen and out at the pool.
We all loved the pool area which had sunny and shady places and great loungers for relaxing on. We also made good use of the BBQ.
San Jaime itself is quiet but we had a great night in the Shamrock which is only a few minutes walk down the hill from the villa.
In Moraira we went to Options where we had a fantastic meal and would def recommend anyone going to give it a try. Fantastic time had by all and would recommend this villa and would love to go back in the future.

We took 2 toddlers, 2 grandparents, one aunty, two uncles and one girlfriend, plus ourselves, the toddler parents. The accomodation was such that everyone was able to have a room that suited them- all en suite, but also some with private balconies, and ours and toddlers downstairs in a little 'wing' of our own, so the early mornings did not disturb the other adults. It has a beautiful pool with poolside shower and roman steps ideal for little ones, ample outdoor space, and indoor, large bbq area and dining table, shady garden seats... even a trampoline for the kids. Helen and Neil are more than helpful and have all the local knowledge. Overall I'd say the villa is ideal for a large family group as it is peaceful and quiet, private and VERY comfortable. Also ideally located for the beach, great restaurants (El Chamizo) and supermarket. Thanks for a great stay. Loved the private lemon tree!
