These wonderful and peaceful apartment are part of a thirties building (cited on Guida d'Italia by Touring Club Italiano, Rome, 1993: p 749) in an area rich of Roman ruins. Colosseum is within 20-minute walking distance. Nearby there are the monumental Porta Maggiore and S. Giovanni and S. Croce in Gerusalemme Cathedrals. It is quiet but central and well connected to Central Station 'Termini' (the 105 bus line stops in front of the building) and to metro lines (10-minute walking). The 571 bus, stop Porta Maggiore, brings you to Forum Romanum, Campo di Fiori, Saint Peter etc. Supermarket, Bank, Internet point are a few meters away. The area is full of restaurants, pizzerias and pubs; San Lorenzo's and Pigneto's trendy districts are within 10-minute walking distance. The five self-catering apartments have been recently renovated and are furnished in a luxurious way, cured in every minimum detail: autonomous heating, air conditioning in bedrooms, TV, hairdryer. The apartment B is composed of one large master bedrooms, a second bedroom with three single bed (which can become a second Queen double bed on demand), a fully equipped open kitchen in the living area with a table and chairs. Furthermore, it has two complete bathrooms (one includes a bath tub and shower, the other one a shower). The apartment is 60 square metres in area and is fully furnished and equipped with a satellite TV, autonomous heating and is very bright and sunny. A map inside the apartments shows you all details of surroundings and bus-metro lines.

To/from Central Station 'Termini: bus 105 stops in front of the building. Bus 571 brings you straightly to Colosseum, Forum Romanum, Campo di Fiori, Vatican, Saint Peter, etc. Supermarket, Bank, Post office, Internet point, laundry, bakery, tabac shop, the restaurant “Mari e Monti” and the authentic Naples pizzeria “Miseria e nobiltà” are a few meters away. The most authentic italian ice cream (at Fassi from 1880) is at two stops of 105 bus line. Very useful!: close to the building (about 50 mt) there is the supermarket “DICO”. Nearby trendy pedestrian areas: Pigneto’s Market (about 200 mt) and the district “San Lorenzo” (about 600 mt). For shopping: the prestigeous brands Prada, Gucci, Furla, Petit Bateau, etc. in Via Appia Nuova and the market in Via Sannio (used clothings and leather). Within walking distance: Colosseum (20’), the Basilica of St John Lateran (12’), Porta Maggiore and Basilica Santa Croce in Gerusalemme (8’). View from the windows: Aqua Claudia aqueduct (38 A.D.)

  • These rates are for two people. Christmas and Easter holidays: 110 Euro/night, 770Euro/week; November and January: 80 Euro/night, 450 Euro/week. On Christmas and Easter holidays minimum stay five days. Towels and linens are included. Every week there is a cleaning of the apartment free. A nearby parking is available at 10 Euros each day. Special offers are available for last minute and when two or three apartments of the building are reserved together. PayPal accepted.

Just returned from a lovely trip to Rome. We stayed in apartment B, and we thought it was really nice. Very clean, and all the extras. The owners are very friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend to others as a great place to stay, especially if you don't want to rent a car. Transportation is not a problem and is easy to navigate public transportation! We had a great time!!

First Trip To Rome

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. It was spacious and comfortable in a lovely old building.

We walked into Rome which took around 30 minutes but later in the week we used the metro which is 10 minutes walk away and costs just 1€.

There was some noise but it was not unbearable and to be expected in a location close to the city centre.

Good place to stay in Rome

My husband and I stayed in Apartment B during our stay in Rome. The apartment was well maintained ,clean and spacious, there was just the two of us but it has two bedrooms so it could easily accomodate more people. The location was out of the way from most of the major sights however the bus line runs right in front of the apartment and turned out to be convenient. The owner was very kind and helpful. The building has no lift so you need to be able to climb stairs and the street noise at night was bothersome at times but nothing excessive. Overall,we had a nice stay and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a decent,clean and affordable place to stay while visiting Rome.

We found both the apartment and area it is in tired, in need of renovation and not very clean. We looked at other reviews before booking this apartment and was dissappointed to find it didn't match up to them.

Good points were travelling around was easy with the 105 bus stop outside the door (a weekly bus ticket is a must), the Pizzeria 5 mins walk away was excellent, the supermarket at the rear of the building was more than adequate, the cost of the apartment was low and it was good to have air conditioning.
Owner's Response: Thank you for pointing out that which was good. However, the apartment B has been completely renovated a few months ago and most of the other reviewers said that our apartments are very clean. Furthemore, we always ask our guests to tell us if there are any problems. It is easy to do so, because we live in the same building. During those guests' one week long stay there was ample time to report any complaint they could have had to us.

Last trip to Rome

We spent some days (five of us) at apartment C and we enjoyed the enchantment of living at a typical "villa" with a small nice garden, some beautiful cats and friendly neighbours. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities. We were nicely welcomed by the owner (as well as assisted the one time needed). Most of all the price/quality ratio met our expectations. However Via Casilina can be a little bit noisy at night.
