This house is located in beautiful Travis Heights, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in this vibrant city known as the Live Music Capital of the World. We are on a quiet street (no through traffic) next to SoCo(South Congress Ave) which offers some of the finest restaurants along with unique shopping (no chain stores) & live music all within walking distance. You'll come back from your explorations to enjoy the well shaded back deck, fenced back yard for your pet(s), hardwood floors throughout, the fun updated kitchen with stainless steel counter tops & a tiled island for you to gather around with your refreshments as you plan your next journey. 3 comfortable bedrooms. We are close to parks such as Zilker(ACL Music Festival) & Stacy with is naturally heated pool, the Hike & Bike trail, Lady Bird Lake, the Convention Center, downtown, 6th St. with more great restaurants & live music, Auditorium Shores, theaters, markets, the flight of bats under the SoCo Bridge & the Long Arts Center .

You'll be staying in a clean well furnished classic renovated house in a neighborhood full of trees right in downtown Austin. Central Air & Heat, Hardwood Floors, Plantation Shutters, 3 bedrooms with ceiling fans(1 king, 1 queen, 1 queen), front room with futon, 2 full bathrooms, linens, towels, updated gourmet kitchen and a beautiful tiled island with comfortable bar stools where you'll have fun cooking & planning your stay here. Gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker, all the kitchen utensils you need, dishwasher, washer & dryer, Cd & dvd, 2 TVs w/ satellite, telephone, wireless internet, barbeque grill, patio furniture, fenced back yard, on site parking for 2 cars(side by side)& a side entrance. Austin and the central Texas area is filled with so many things to do & see for the whole family. OK, no snow skiing but other than that I think we got you covered. If you have a car we've got the scenic hill country, highland lakes, water parks, rivers, outlet malls.

Our stay at your wonderful Austin home was absolutely perfect. The location of your home could not be better – walking distance to geothermal heated lBig Stacy Pool, the excellent shops and restaurants on SoCo and the hike and bike trail. We enjoyed afternoons on the shady deck and had wonderful family dinners in the spacious kitchen, dining room and family room. We were the envy of our family and friends who were in town for the same wedding but were staying in hotels. We will definitely be back!!!
This is the perfect home base for enjoying all that Austin has to offer. We spent a month here in Dec/Jan and loved every minute. The house itself is fully equiped and delightful with a great layout. The location is superb and the hip South Congress area, with its great music, food and shopping is just a short walk away. It's also close enough to walk to the wonderful Town Lake trails & downtown. Austin is fabulous and this rental property is the best.
