Three delightful, romantic 300 year-old newly renovated self-catering Brittany Cottages within a mile of St Germain en Cogles and only 5 miles from Fougeres. The properties are in a tiny hamlet cul-de-sac of 5 occupied cottages three of which are detailed here. Accordingly there is minimal passing traffic making the location ideal for quiet family holidays or short and long peaceful breaks throughout the year. In the countryside with its attendant tranquility but very close to 'civilization' in St Germain and Fougeres - this is a charming town with gardens, and lanes for walking. The cottages are nearby to beaches in Brittany and Normandy and swimming 'beaches' in nearby forests. Within easy access to beaches and attractions in St Malo, Mont-St-Michel, Fougeres, Vitre, Cancale, Dinan and Dinard amongst other places. A delight for walking and cycling activities. On the ground floor: The ground floor comprises an open-plan area containing: Fitted oak tiled kitchen with gas hob, electric high-level oven, refrigerator and microwave oven. Dining area with table and chairs. Living area with three piece suite, satellite free-to-view UK TV, DVD player, CD/FM stereo, a small book library; wood-burning stove for off-season usage and access to communal washing machine in the grounds. Access to garden via back door at rear. Off-street parking within the grounds. On the first floor: Master bedroom containing double bed and fitted wardrobe. One other double with additional single bed and fitted wardrobe. The tiled bathroom has a shower in the bath plus toilet and washbasin. The stairs are also fitted with a secure children's safety gate.

Brittany cottages: St Malo, Mont-St-Michel, Fougeres, Vitre, Dinard, Cancale & Dinan. Wild seas buffet its jagged coastline, reshaping the ancient granite. Whilst inland quiet villages and an abundance of eerie forests provide countryside not unlike Devon and Cornwall in the UK; but without the people. Tranquility personified! Brittany has the lowest per capita population in France, with two and a half times the land area of UK but a similar population; therefore Brittany is almost empty by comparison. On the north coast, St-Malo, an old pirates' town, with fine beaches and mixing centuries of architectural styles. Dinard, Queen of the Emerald Coast, is often compared favorably with Mediterranean resorts. To the east, Mont-St-Michel, though technically a few metres into Normandy, is a magnet for visitors. Castles such as Fougeres and Vitre testify to a once hostile relationship with the rest of France.
