Tourist Activities: An 18 hole golf course is 20 minutes drive at Fontcouverte, north of Saintes. Guided tours (in English/French) around the town of St Jean d'Angely organised by the tourist office. Futuroscope theme park at Poitiers is approx. 1 hour away.
Visitor's Book: 'Ours was a family holiday, including a small grandchild of 6 months, for which the house was wholly appropriate. We enjoyed the generous space the house offered, the easy parking and particularly the walled garden. The house was also well placed for the town's shops. St Jean has many interesting streets and is a pleasure to walk around by both day and night which may be done with complete safety. Angela herself did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable, someone who actually thinks of her guests.' 'Great house- thanks Angela. The Atlantys swimcentre - more relaxed than a UK swimcentre but they insist men wear Speedos or similar - be warned! Internet café rue Pascal Bourcy-v helpful and very reasonable prices (if you can't bring your laptop for the WIFI provided). Plenty of good restaurants in the town.'
