'EL JARIFE' is situated just under 10 minutes from the centre of Fuengirola in the direction of Mijas (about 5 kilometres) and is conveniently situated for both Marbella and Malaga. The villa has views of the Sierra de Mijas mountains and is otherwise set amongst individually designed detached villas in a peaceful area which is lush and picturesque. Malaga airport is just 20/25 minutes away by car as is Marbella.The villa was designed by a Puerto Rican Architect and has sloping, beamed ceilings to the Living Room and to the principal bedroom. 'EL JARIFE' is unique in the sense that apart from being on one floor and on level ground, it is virtually a complex in its own right. All inside and outside landscaped areas flow beautifully together, focussing on the large and stunning Andalucian style courtyard perfect for barbecues, dining, entertaining or simply relaxing in some welcome shade. Clever design, nevertheless, allows the gardens and pool to be isolated if necessary for safety.

Tennis is available at 'EL COTO' behind the supermarket of the same name on the other side of Avenida Mijas, or at 'LEW HOAD'S TENNIS CLUB' which is about a mile away and has a very good bar and restaurant open to non-members. Temporary membership is available on a daily or weekly basis and superb coaching is offered. The Club has its own pool and holds regular barbecues throughout the summer as well as other interesting activities in its beautiful grounds. Riding is available either on the Mijas Golf road or at Smith's at Calahonda on the road to Marbella. Mijas Golf Club is quite close and can be reached by car by cutting through in front of the Euromarket. Golf, riding and tennis is also now available at a beautifully located country club at Alhaurin which is just 10 miles inland from the main coast road and can be reached from the villa by continuing on the same road past Mijas Golf. This Club is also open to temporary membership.

  • To confirm a reservation please forward a deposit of 20% of the total cost (or the full amount if less than 8 weeks before departure) together with a completed Booking Form. The balance is payable 8 weeks before departure. Since the deposit is non-returnable, we advise insurance cover in case of cancellation for unavoidable reasons. More detailed information on the villa and local amenities will be sent on receipt of the final balance. This same information, and more, can also be found in the villa on arrival in the top left hand drawer of the desk in the Lounge.
    temporary deposit of GBP150 is required as an insurance against possible damages, the full amount, or balance of which will be refunded promptly on arrival back in the UK and confirmation from the Manager together with the return of the keys, which will be sent to you before departure.
    Reductions available for two only or for bookings in excess of 3 weeks: .
  • Any domestic appliance found not working or faulty should be reported to the Manager within 24 hours of arrival. In the event of any damages please notify the Manager and in case of minor items arrange with him to replace the article before leaving
  • Note: Cost is all inclusive except for GBP25 a week for gas and electricity/or £60 per week from 13th June to 13th September including air conditioning. There is a returnable deposit of GBP150 payable upon settling of balance. Discounts are available for two people.

This bedroom suite opens out on to its own walled-in patio with shower and has its own direct access to the swimming pool.The other 2 bedrooms are of medium size, each with fitted wardrobes and twin beds, and having access from a lobby at the opposite end of the Living Room. One of these bedrooms opens out on to the courtyard, and the other on to its own spacious walled-in patio. Adjoining these 2 bedrooms there is a fully tiled shower bathroom and WC. The Living Room (and 1 bedroom) opens out on to a large marble paved walled-in courtyard which incorporates an L-shaped pavilion with full length built-in bench seating and barbecue etc., including direct and indirect decorative lighting. This patio, in turn, leads through a wrought iron gate to the rear garden with its mosaic lined pool.

Notes: The Dining Room opens out on to an American style Kitchen which is completely fitted with a full range of birch cupboards, stainless steel sink, large refrigerator (with freezer), butane gas/electric cooker and microwave oven, all being ventilated by means of an Expelair extract fan and hood. Adjoining the Kitchen is a Utility Room complete with washing machine, dishwasher, ironing board and iron etc. Dining Room and all bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans and TV/video/DVD/CD unit is installed in the Lounge. Up a flight of stairs leading from the Dining Room is a room marked 'PRIVATE' which is locked and contains personal belongings.

The villa may be occupied on the day of arrival at any time from 3.30pm and should be vacated no later than 10.30am on the day of departure. Cots, high chairs and mobile telephones etc., can be hired by direct arrangement with the Manager and payment direct to him. However, requests should be made at the time of booking when further details can be supplied. More detailed information on the villa and local amenities will be sent on receipt of the final balance. The gardens are tended by a gardener who calls normally every other day about 8-10am or 5-6pm. The swimming pool together with the automatic water supply is maintained under contract by a specialist firm and there is a large reserve tank in the service patio.

This patio, in turn, leads through a wrought iron gate to the rear garden with its mosaic lined filtered swimming pool with adequate illumination, size 29' 3' x 13' 0' plus an L-shaped area at the shallow end with full width walk-in steps Most of the area around the pool is crazy paved in natural stone but there is a garden area at one end and lawn and garden at the other, all with adequate sun beds, etc. and access to the shower in the patio outside the main bedroom. The whole of this garden, and indeed the whole property, is enclosed by walls of at least 6' 0' high. The Living Room (and 1 bedroom) opens out on to a large marble paved walled-in patio which incorporates an L-shaped pavilion with full length built-in bench seating.
