There is no better compliment in the hospitality business than repeat business. It shows you did everything right as a host and venue.
We have now been to Le Parede twice and we are already looking forward to our third holiday there in August 2010.
Your hosts, Astrid & Barrie, are the loveliest couple you could ever meet, affording you privacy and company in equal measures and most importantly, at the right time.
I would describe the accommodation as comfortable, lacking nothing yet don't expect luxury. There's a good reason for this: You will only be spending your sleeping hours indoors. The area is a cyclists "Mecca" with all the famous Pyrenean climbs on the doorstep yet the most challenging climb is the road leading from the town of Bagneres-de-Bigorre up to your mountain retreat at Le Parede.
For families with children, there are numerous attractions within a 1 hour radius by car: Lac Vert with its' waterpark (and well behaved French families - no one shouts at their children !!), mini-golf in Bagneres itself, Donjon des Aigles with their birds of prey (and what a show they put on !) the list goes on.
