A detached oak beamed house located in a small village in the heart of the Bearn region with a large private garden and views of rolling countryside and Pyrenees mountains. It is just 10 minutes from all services in Orthez. The house has a spacious open plan lounge/dining room with a wood burning stove and a well equipped separate kitchen. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and modern bathroom and a large mezzanine landing. A double bedroom with ensuite shower and separate toilet are downstairs. At the rear of the house is a large car parking area, a new swimming pool, garden furniture and barbeque in the garden. Electric heating/air conditioning in all rooms.

Local town Orthez: Orthez is an historic 16th century town with all facilities including large supermarkets, good choice of restaurants and weekly market selling local produce and clothing. It has an indoor swimming pool and attractive lake with sandy beach offering sailing and water skiing. Canoeing, horse riding and fishing are available nearby on the Gaves de Pau.

Surrounding area: Picturesque Sallies de Bearne, famous for its salt spa, is nearby and well worth a visit. It also has a casino, weekly market and golf course. Sauveterre de Bearne is another nearby historic town and Navarrenx has walled ramparts around the town. White water rafting and fishing are available on the Gaves de Pau and Oloron. Lanneplaa has beautiful surrounding countryside and there are several marked walks and cycling for all ages.

Beaches and Pyrenees mountains: The famous Atlantic surfing beaches at Biarritz are only one hour away. Sandy family beaches extend down to the Spanish border, including the resort of St John de Luz with its beautiful harbour. San Sebastien and Pamplona are within two hours drive. The Pyrenees mountains can be reached within one and half hours including several ski resorts eg. Gouvelle and Pierre St Martin. Lourdes is approximately one hour away and Pau has some interesting sites in the city centre. Easy access to the motorway allows quick transfer to Pau and Biarritz airports both serviced by Ryanair. There is a wide selection of golf courses in the Biarritz area and two courses in Pau area.
