Large, comfortable villa with private pool and fantastic panoramic views to the coast. Sitting in beautiful unspoilt countryside, with crops of citrus fruits, avocado, mangoes and olives, the area is peaceful and secluded, but not isolated with other villas within close walking distance. The villa is set in middle of land, on a hillside, with uninterrupted views to the coastline stretching from Portimao to Albufeira. This is the perfect place for a wonderful holiday away from all the crowds, yet within a short driving distance of beaches, water parks and high quality golf courses. The villa is roomy and cool in summer with ceiling fans in all rooms and mosquito closings on all doors and windows. Patio doors open from the lounge and dining room to a large shaded terrace; ideal for 'al fresco' dining on freshly cooked food from the static barbeque, or sitting enjoying a good book. The pool is secluded and wonderful for a cool dip or just relaxing on the loungers drinking in the view.

Nearest Train: Silves at 5 Miles

Situated between Silves and Messines. Silves is just a short drive away and as well as providing a number of sites of historical interest it has plenty of good restaurants and shops including a large supermarket, and a daily market for fruit and freshly caught fish. Several quality golf courses, including a brand new one in Silves, are all a short drive. There are a number of restaurants dotted around the countryside which make good Portuguese meals and give visitors a chance to savour the 'real' Portugal and the prices are considerably cheaper than on the busy coast. The beaches of Armacao de Pera, Carvoeiro and Gale are about twenty minutes drive away, as are the water parks and Zoomarine. However most people just love to be at the villa by the pool. Interesting places to visit such as Monchique, Lagos and Sagres are less than an hour away and there are all sorts of little villages dotted about which are fun to visit. About a forty minute drive from the airport on a good motorway.

  • The master bedroom is up a marble staircase from the hallway and is very spacious. It has a large en-suite bathroom and patio doors leading to a small private terrace. From here there are amazing views across the countryside to the coast and on a clear day ships can be seen on the ocean. It is ideal as a quiet 'get away' space or for a little private sun bathing. The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor and both face north, so stay cool in the summer. One has a large double bed and patio doors and the other has two single beds. All the bedrooms have fully fitted wardrobes and ceiling fans.

A truly relaxing holiday: This is the place to take a real breather away from the hectic everyday lifestyle. If you are a family with children they will love the pool, the fresh air and the freedom of having so much space to call their own. If they want to taste the bustle of the water parks or beaches then they are within close distance. If you are a couple, or a group of adult friends, you will quickly become enamoured by the tranquil, relaxing atmosphere and you can enjoy exploring the surrounding areas as much or as little as you like. There is plenty to see if you wish, but you don't need an excuse to just take it easy. ( For the very energetic a trip to Lisbon could be on the cards - just two and half hours away). Whatever your choice you will find that our roomy airy villa will give plenty of room for all. For those who want to keep in touch with home there is satellite television with a range of English programmes. Or relax by the pool in total privacy and let the world go by.

Enjoy the real Portugal: There is another Portugal away from the busy coastal resorts. This has a slower pace of life with friendly local people living a life they have lived for generations before them. They may be the farmers growing the oranges, or the nomadic shepherds with their goats, or even the gypsies we often see with their handsome horses driving on the roads. Visiting the local travelling monthly market could give you a chance to see them all. And then of course there is the food and the wine! Wonderful fresh fish - you know about Sardines, but try Dourado you'll love it and the wine is really good at a price you will find amazingly cheap. Come and enjoy!

Relaxing Getaway

The details of the property were accurate and the photos a good representation. It was well maintained and beautifully clean. All the facilities you could want were available, from books to CD's/DVD's to a dishwasher and washing machine. The location is ideal if you want seclusion but this means there is a bit of a drive to shops and restaurants. Views from the villa and the pool were lovely especially at sunset. All the windows have fly screens so they can be left open to catch breezes without catching insects. A really nice location to escape the busy world in which we all live and recharge those batteries. I would gladly recommend the property to friends.

The villa was evertything we needed and beyond our expertations!
The directions were clear, entering the house was no problem, the house was spotless, everything was provided and the pool and the views were stunning!!

We arrived in Portugal late on a Sunday night. The directions to the villa were excellent, we didn't get lost at all despite the remoteness of the villa and traveling in the dark!
When we got there, we found the villa spotlessly clean and very well equipped.
The location was peaceful with wonderful views, but the beautiful town of Silves was easily accessible, ensuring that we could get almost anything we needed.
The central location of the villa meant that it didn't take long to get anywhere, in fact it seemed to take only 40 minutes to get to wherever we went!
I would certainly recommend the villa and would have no hesitation in returning there myself.

This property was fantastic, we had a wonderful holiday and the views as described were amazing. The villa was furnished with everything we required and was spotless on arrival. The Silves region we found to be a beautiful unspoilt area of the Algarve with easy access to other areas. We would certainly use the villa again.
