Mundesley is a lovely seaside village with a beautiful sandy beach that remains relatively quiet even in peak season. It has a good range of basic shops, a small amusement arcade, a pitch & putt course, a couple of pubs serving food and a fish and chip shop. Nearby are lots of other sandy beaches and seaside towns such as Cromer and Sheringham, with all the usual seaside attractions. The North Norfolk Coast boasts plenty of fine beaches with great walking, bird watching, horse riding & a full range of restaurants from traditional seaside fish & chips to gourmet dining. Close by are several National Trust Halls, Baconsthorpe Castle, the Shire Horse Centre, a steam railway and market towns such as Holt & North Walsham. Cromer has a cinema, museum, a pier with a theatre, a church you can climb for great views and numerous restaurants. A little further afield are the famous Norfolk Broads, the historic city of Norwich, theme parks, wildlife parks, castles and other children's attractions.

large comfortable house with stunning views.

My family and i spent a week at Wavecrest in September 2009, there were eight of us. Our first impression on arrival was how quiet the area is, (the house is a few hundred yards off the main road on a cul de sac), inside we were met with fresh cut flowers neatly arranged in the spotlessly clean living and dining rooms. The kitchen is very well equipped, modern cooker, good quality cooking utensils, The garden is not huge but adequate, there is a barbeque and beach toys etc. On the first floor of the house there are three bedrooms, one is a small but comfortable twin, the other two are master bedroom size, one has an en-suite shower but no lavatory, these two bedrooms are wonderful, they both have french doors and verandahs which look out to the sea which is only a stones throw away, at night you can hear the waves crashing onto the breakers which is very relaxing, the second floor of the building hosts another two large bedrooms with sea views and a seperate bathroom/shower. Mundesley itself is a peaceful, unremarkable village, couple of shops and a decent pub, not much for the kids to do though if the weather is poor but plenty of attractions in surrounding area. However, if the weather is good then the beaches are lovely, uncrowded, clean and very sandy, theres also a friendly cafe to the south of the beach. Overall Wavecrest is a well equipped, clean and spacious house, We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

An absolute must!!

This house is fantastic - I'd love to own it. The house and it's position on the cliff is amazing. If there were no other activities, shops or restaurants It wouldn't matter, staying in the house is exciting and breath-taking due to the situation and the beautiful bedrooms. I would recommend this to groups of adults or families. The beach, amusements & cafe's will take you away from the fast pace of everyday life to a place that is hard to find these days. All this and a lovely, clean & well equipped house to boot. I think everyone should stay here at least once!

Everything you want

My family & I are repeat visitors to this wonderful holiday home & we just can't stay away. We've stayed at Wavecrest 5 times & are going back again in a weeks time - it really is fantastic value for money & offers everything you want in a holiday home.

The interior design is stylish, comfortable & practical - something I'd love to replicate in my own home. It has all the mod cons needed - dishwasher, big range cooker, high chair, dining table large enough to seat the whole family round & we normally number at least 10 ranging in ages from 8 weeks to 86 years.

All 5 bedrooms have fantastic sea views and you can hear the waves crashing on the shore whilst lying in bed - the sunrises & sunsets from all the windows are to die for. We also love sitting round the real log fire feeling snug listening to the sea in the evening & making use of the telescope to watch ships.

The garden is a lovely size & there's a bbq to use in good weather. Its a 5min walk down to the sandy beach & another 5 min walk to 'Rays' the legendary corner shop which sells everything you could possibly need. Whilst Mundesley town itself remains one of the coastlines best kept secrets there are lots of family entertainment spots within easy reach like Amazonia, Cromer, Sheringham, Great Yarmouth.

Whenever we have stayed the house has been spotlessly clean and additional touches like fresh flowers throughout are really appreciated. It feels like the home from home I wish I had & I have already thoroughly recommended it to all my friends.
