Situated in the unspoilt area of Lunigiana, in Northern Tuscany, this charming cottage in a rural location offers a peaceful and relaxing escape. Situated between the mountains and the coast, within easy reach of the beautiful Gulf of Poets, the stunning coastline of the Cinque Terre in Liguria and the ski resort of Cerreto. The walled city of Lucca is just a train ride away. Fabulous opportunities for walking in the nearby hills. Close to a small lake and river, with areas for river bathing in the cool mountain water, to the backdrop of the stunning Alpi Apuane. During Summer months, there is a large swimming pool just 10 minutes away. A large garden, offers a very peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for relaxing during hot, sunny afternoons and for B-B-Cues. Ideal for families, couples or groups. Local amenities within walking distance. Local restaurants serve fabulous food, from pizza to pasta, to fresh fish caught that morning, to game dishes - all local produce.

Located in unspoilt Lunigiana and just 25 minutes drive from the nearest beach at Lerici ('Blue Flag' award indicating clean water, pristine sands and a well organised beach) and San Terenzo on the Ligurian coastline. Picturesque Tellaro also nearby. Easy access to the beautiful Cinque Terre - providing fabulous opportunities for walking with stunning coastal scenery. Boat trips also possible from nearby La Spezia or Lerici. Many local markets, but supermarket, bakers and restaurants all within walking distance.Ski resort 45 minutes drive. Lucca 45 minute drive away or an hour by train from local town of Aulla. Florence is also accessible by train (2 1/4 hour direct) for a day trip. Many towns and villages to visit nearby : Fivizzano, Pontremoli, Bagnone, Sarzana, spa village of Equi Terme.     Includes all utilities and home-made wine! 10% supplement payable from 1st November to end April to cover heating costs and from 1st October 2009 to end April 2010.

Facing the front of the property, there are views of the stunning Alpi Apuane. Bedroom 2, upstairs, has lovely views from the side of the property, across the river valley to the Appenine Hills in the background. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and opens out onto the front terrace. (Bedroom 2 is accessible through this bedroom) Single sofa bed in lounge sleeps extra person.

There are two balconies - one at the side of the property, accessible from the kitchen/lounge with table and chairs; one upstairs at the front of the cottage, with stunning views of the mountains. The upstairs double bedroom is accessible through the twin room, so suitable for families or groups of singles. Twin vaulted cellar houses home made wine, which guests are free to drink (the wine is very rustic, so you may need to open a couple of bottles until you find a good one!) Satellite enables access to BBC1, BBC2 and ITV. Cot and high chair available on request

'Whether you need a romantic getaway, a family break or just a holiday with friends, this is the place for you. It has all the facilities you will need and has a good supermarket and restaurants close by. You are also well placed for access to the coast, places like Pisa & within easy reach of the mountains.
