Castelbianco is located in west Liguria, near Albenga and Alassio. 15km from the coast you can discover the Pennavaire Valley, an unexpected piece of Liguria, with still the feel of the traditionall past. The landscape that appears is amazing as it is impressive to see an 'Alpine' environment so close to the sea. Only the skyline lets you remember you are in Liguria. Castelbianco is the first municipality in the valley it consists of four distinct hamlets, Vesallo, Veravo, Oresine and Colletta. The latter well known as the first 'telematic village' in Europe. There is no distinct town centre between them. Here you can find 3 exellent restaurant in 5 min by car. The local town, Cisano sul Neva, about 7 min. away has a small local grocer, closed from 1pm to about 4pm. Cisano has a very good bar and restaurant and there is an Esso gas station.You can shop for food in Albenga, about 15 min. away, and the local store le Serre COOP is open the whole day.
