Local activities include walking, horseriding, cycling, fishing, golf, canoeing and hot-air ballooning. There is a water sports centre a few miles away at Bouscarasse while the coast is just 90 minutes drive. To the south you will also find the Camargue which is famous for its white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos! You can visit the Roman aqueduct at Pont Du Gard, the “Bambouseraie” (a bamboo plantation) near Anduze and the historic centres of Montpellier, Nimes, Arles, Avignon and Orange. There are music festivals, art galleries, museums and markets and, at Isle sur la Sorgue, a famous Sunday street brocante. Bordering the Cotes du Rhone and Languedoc wine regions, a visit to the local vineyards is not to be missed; a walk through the hillsides rich in sage, rosemary and thyme will clear your head the next day!
