B&B Savoia - Historical apartment in the exclusive Rome Our bed and breakfast is in a prestigious property built in the 1920’s with most of its original features preserved and set in a pretty garden. Renovated to a high standard, each room has first class en-suite facilities and all are decorated in keeping with the age of elegance. Savoia Bed and Breakfast is well located for the centre of the City and Termini Station, both of which are approx. 10 minutes walking, while Villa Borghese, with its rich museum is just a few blows away. With a regular bus service, travelling could not be easier. 5 minutes (by bus) to Termini station 15 minutes for a nice walk to Via Veneto 10 minutes walking to the Galleria Borghese Museum

Not only is this B&B set in a beautiful building, but the hosts (Augusto and his friend, Antonio) are charming, kind and very helpful. They looked after us extremely well, always making sure we knew where we were going, gave advice on where to eat and kept the kitchen full of supplies for us to use.

Our concerns about being a bit 'further out' of the centre came to nothing - it's a lovely walk to the main sites (even in winter, we found) and the busses are easy to use if you don't fancy the exercise. Maybe not ideal for a family with young children, but perfectly situated to experience Rome like a Roman - the restaurants around the B&B are very local and family-focused; cheaper than the stuff near the centre.

Ultimately, the B&B was gorgeous, romantic and peaceful - we felt extremely lucky to have made such a find. It was the accommodation that really made our holiday in Rome so wonderful
