The Farmhouse dates back to the 18th century and has been restored to a very high standard. It is is situated in a tranquil village in the hills above a beautiful stretch of the river Dordogne, with stunning views towards Domme. The front of the house faces directly South and enjoys the sun on the front terrace all day. The spacious interior is very cool during hot summers and the large lounge has sofas and armchairs for 10. There is a 42' TV with English satellite, dvd/Cd player and wireless broadband connection. There is also a good selection of books, DVDs and games. The large kitchen, is fully equipped with quality equipment and appliances including cooker, dishwasher and a large American style fridge freezer/ icemaker. Upstairs - 2 twin bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms plus 2 bathrooms with WC; with large gravelled terraces, ideal for boules. The new 8 x 4m pool has a large paved surround and is fully compliant with stringent French safety laws relating to fences etc.

We are situated absolutely ideally for all of the major attractions of the Dordogne. The river itself is only 5 mins. away with lovely beaches and safe bathing, canoeing etc. The world famous medieval town of Sarlat is 12 km - 20 mins away. Other famous attractions, Rocamadour, Domme, Lascaux, Collange La Rouge, St Cirque La Popie, Les Eyzies,The prehistoric sites, and many, many more are all nearby. The area around the house is very picturesque and offers the very best opportunities for walking, cycling, wildlife. watching, photography, horse riding etc. The very pretty village of Carlux is only 3.5 km away and has an excellent boulangerie, butchers and general store as well as a Post Office and a superb local produce shop. Add to this, the easily reached vineyards of Bordeaux, Bergerac and Cahor and the fabulous cuisine of the area and you have all the ingredients for a relaxing and memorable holiday - No wonder we have people returning to us year after year from all over the world.
