An ideal location for SUMMER or WINTER. Rent one apartment or both, which is ideal for 2 couples/families wishing to holiday together but requiring their own space. The private pool and HOT TUB are on separate terraces and available for both apartments. There are several terraces from which to enjoy the wonderful view across the sea. This is the real Spain with no high rise development and hectic night life - just restaurants, tapas bars, 4kms of beaches and very friendly local people. The old town of Salobreña, once a Moorish stronghold was built on an imposing outcrop of rock visible from miles around; perched on the top of the hill and dominating the town from 105 metres above sea level are the 10th century castle and 16th century church. This is the 'casco antiguo', a maze of narrow roadways, white-washed houses, alleys and steep staircases.

The Costa Tropical has a subtropical climate with more than 320 days of sunshine per year and with easy access from Granada, Malaga and Almeria airports make it an ideal all year round holiday location. Salobrena with its ancient castle is a great base from which to explore Granada city and the famous Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada, the Alpujarras, the Lecrin Valley and all the wonderful beaches and coves along this, as yet, quite undeveloped coastline. Car hire is recommended as the beaches, shops, restaurants are all a 5 minute drive away but many guests spend all their time relaxing at the villa enjoying the fabulous view.

Great Stay in Alfa Mar

The photos, and description, don't really do this property justice. We stayed for two weeks, and had a great time. The downstairs apartment is the main place, with the larger kitchen and living area. The upstairs had very nice accommodations, just a little smaller. Nice wooden porch/deck off upstairs. Large tiled patio off downstairs.

Views are stupendous. Anna is a joy to work with, and very warm and welcoming. The neighbors were both helpful as well.

We stayed in apartment 1 in August '07 and apartment 2 in May '08 and we've just booked again for this year!

We love this part of Spain and this house is a perfect place to stay. It's really easy to get to from the airport (we've flown into Granada and Malaga before) and a short drive away from shops, beaches, restaurants and the lovely old Spanish town of Salobrena.

Both of the apartments are very well equipped, the outdoor terraces are well designed with sun all day and the views are simply breathtaking. We would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful place.

We were 2008 in September. A remarkable place and excellent owners! That we have read all on a site corresponded to true. A fine view, the good house.We preferred to cook food in the house and on a grill. Fresh products can be bought in two nearest small towns Salobrena and Almunecar, distance to them of 5-6 km.

I came over in september last year with a girlfriend of mine for a week.We were looking for a relaxing time and could not have been more happy with our time there! We spent our days by the pool.It was suprisingly warm for the time of year, temperatures at around 28 degrees - perfect! Evenings were spent on the terrace taking in the amazing sea views.The apartment has all the cooking facilities you need and so we were able to shop in the local markets and cook at home.However on the few occasions we felt inclined to leave we went to the beach front restaurants in Salobrena.
This place is a bit of a haven and will definately return soon especially i now notice there is a hot tub!!

I stayed here in October 2007. With so many villas and apartments available for holiday rental I wanted somewhere a little different. What attracted me to this property was it's outside space, however photographs really don't do it justice.

I stayed in the first floor apartment. Each morning I'd walk out onto the balcony, have breakfast and look out to sea.

The views to the sea are un-interrupted.

The external layout of terraces at different levels means you can find a place to sit and feel as though you have the place all to yourself.

Salobrena is a five minute drive away, Almunecar about fifteen. I'd describe them both as un-spoilt Spanish towns. Go and have a long lunch at one of the restaurants actually on the beach at Salobrena, don't leave this until the last day because you'll want to do this more than once.
