Le Manoir de Kerroc'h - 17th Century Manor House in peaceful village - 3 luxury houses, 10x5m heated swimming pool with retractable roof, secluded landscape gardens and children's play area. 3 km from sandy beaches, fishing ports and estuaries. Exceptionally mild micro climate. Gated parking area leading to secure walled garden. Garden furniture with BBQ. La Fontaine and La Roseraie – each sleeps 10: 3 double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one larger with 4 single beds. Large living/dining rooms with traditional Breton fireplace, wood burning stove, satellite TV, CD player. Well-equipped kitchens . These two houses combine for groups up to 20 and are perfect for large parties. La Forge – sleeps 6: single level, 3 bedrooms (one en-suite), one bathroom and large sunny open plan living/dining/kitchen opening onto private terrace. Equipped as large houses. All houses are south facing, beamed throughout, with waxed terracotta floors and traditional Breton furniture.

The Manoir was built around 1680 by monks from the south of France in a Mediterranean style unique in Brittany. It was converted in 1992 into two houses : La Fontaine et La Roseraie. Both are south facing with views out onto the gardens and pool. Large living/dining rooms with traditional Breton fireplace, wood burning stove, satellite TV, CD player. Kitchens with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, gas cooker and fridge freezer. All stairs are fitted with stair gates for the security of young children.3 double bedrooms (one en-suite) and one larger with 4 single beds.

Tranquil and picturesque property

The property is very spacious with lovely gardens. The house is well presented, tidy and well equipped. The house would be ideal for a large family group and is suitable for young and old alike. The pool is a good size and well maintained and the gardens are lovely. The house has plenty of space but there are only two bathrooms upstairs (one en-suite) and there is no bath, just showers. However, this did not cause us any problems but worth bearing in mind if you have young children or need bathrooms close to all the bedrooms. The best thing we found was the location which is close to the village for daily essentials but the house is very secluded yet only a 20 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) from the beach at Trenez which is lovely. Also there is lots to do nearby with other beach resorts, markets and restaurants. We loved Pont Aven which is only a 15 minute drive. The owner is especially helpful and will make suggestions depending on what activities you enjoy such as walking, sightseeing, markets, beaches etc.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Families with Young Children
