This is a luxurious town house/villa, which can easily and comfortably accommodate six people. It is situated in the highly regarded 4-Star Ponta Grande Resort, which has been awarded 5 Golden Awards for the best Town House Resort. The Resort is only 800 meters from a 'Blue Flag' beach. The villa has air conditioners (hot & cold) in the bedrooms and living/dining room. There is a very nice sun terrace off the living/dining room. The villa is very well equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, safe, iron & ironing board, satellite TV, pull out sofa beds, washing machine. The Resort comprises 60 Townhouses and has the following features : Restaurant, Bar, Snack Bar, large outdoor swimming pool, separate kiddies pool, kids playground, beautifully maintained gardens, outdoor Chess, tennis court, snooker, games room, crazy-golf, Internet Center and on-site parking. Car & bike rentals and excursions can be arranged on the Resort. Live entertainment most nights. Daily kids entertainment.

There are 3 magnificent beaches within an easy 5 minute walk, one of which is Sao Rafael. This beach has been voted Portugal's best beach, & fourth best in Europe - ref .There are also many other beaches within driving distance, both east and west. There are many world class golf courses across the Algarve. Ponta Grande clients can obtain discount green fees on all Algarve golf courses reception Desk). There are also a number of excellent water parks within easy driving distance. Visit the old fort at Sagres (the most westerly point on mainland Europe). Close by is Cap St. Vincente, both places have magnificent cliffs. There are excellent shopping malls with cinemas, about 10mins. drive to Guia. Boat excursions are available at many marinas along the coast, e.g. Albufeira Marina, Portimao, Lagos. Dining out in the Restaurants in the Algarve is exceedingly good value, BBQ chicken piri-piri a speciality. Another speciality is seafood meals with fresh fish. Try sardines.

Notes: The kitchen is well equipped for self catering, and includes a washing machine. Bath and hand towels are supplied and are changed twice-weekly. Bed linen is changed weekly. Pool and beach towels are not supplied, so please bring your own. The villa is no-smoking zone, so please, if necessary, smoke outside on the terrace or in the garden. Maid service is twice weekly. There is a mini-market on the resort - this stocks newspapers, confectionery and basic food stuffs. There are hypermarkets at Guia, about 10 mins drive. The resort provides a limited mini-bus service to/from nearby old town Albufeira (5 times a day). There are many, many world class golf courses all over the Algarve - for discounted green fees, please contact the Resort's Reception Desk. The Resort is an enclosed resort with 24 hr. security, and remote controlled security gates. Car parking is available on the internal perimeter road.

Had a truly wonderful stay at Ponte Grande.
Apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Resort was lovely, with beautiful pool and close to wonderful Sao Rafael Beach.
Owner Simon was really helpful and gave us lots of info about where to shop etc and the welcome pack on arrival of food, water, soap etc... was really nice to arrive to.
He even managed to locate some food in a local shop for our baby son and had ready in the fridge for us so fantastic customer service!!
Fave restaurants were the Marinheiro and Prai Grande both really close by.
Would highly reccommend.

We had a wonderful stay . The house is very nice , spacious , very well equipped, fresch , thanks to Air conditioning . We appreciated very much the welcome basket (food) and the house keeping during the stay . The resort is also vey nice and life around the swimming pool is entertaining for Families .
I recommend it for calm and resourcing vacations.

Wir hatten einen 1-wöchigen erholsamen Aufenthalt in diesem großzügig ausgestatteten Ferienhaus. Sehr positiv zu erwähnen ist die einfache Abwicklung mit dem Vermieter. Er geht auf alle Wünsche ein und reagiert kurzfristig darauf.
Die Lage des Resorts ist ideal für Badeurlaub und Algarveerkundung geeignet, da Albufeira in der Mitte der Algarve liegt. Die Wege zu den einzelnen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Fiesa, Zoomarine, Cap de Vicente, etc.) sind kurz und leicht zu befahren.
In der nahen Umgebung (bis 1000 m) gibt es zahlreiche sehr gute Restaurants.
Das Resort ist vor allem für Familien geeignet (Babypool vorhanden). Portugal ist wohl das kinderfreundlichste Land im Süden von Europa.

Zur Info: In der Algarve wird überwiegend englisch gesprochen. Die Verständigung ist hier sehr einfach.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub dank dieses schönen Ferienhaus und der einmalig schönen Umgebung.
