Pretty 3 bedroom villa with private pool sleeping up to 5 guests. Ideally located only 15mns drive to San Gimignano and within 5mns from picturesque Montaione with shops and restaurants. From the well tended garden and covered terrace one enter the spacious sitting/dining room with its large fireplace, comfy sitting and TV. There is a well equipped kitchen with 5 gas rings, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and two sinks. A hallway leads to three bedrooms, one large double with fine antiques, a second large double and one single room. A separate large shower room and toilet serves the bedrooms. The charming owner lives on the other apartment at the house with her fellow cats and is available in case of need.

Although the property feels deliciously rural, its location in the very centre of the triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Pisa makes it an excellent base for those keen on immersing themselves in Renaissance art and architecture. Closer to home, you will find enchanting hill towns and villages, providing a good choice of restaurants. The nearest, a pizzeria on the edge of Montaione, is just 1km away and the centre of this village, marked by a beautiful belvedere, is just 2km away. Other good places to eat are the nearby little spa town of Gambassi Terme or, a little further afield, the larger town of Certaldo. The stunning monastery and chapels of San Vivaldo are just a ten-minute drive away, and the magnificent medieval towers of San Gimignano can also be reached in no more than half an hour.

The bathroom is very smart and well equipped (bath with shower over, basin, bidet and WC). From the hall, a staircase leads up to the first floor into a picturesque second sitting room. There are two further bedrooms, one twin and one single. The twin beds can be made up as a double (please indicate at time of booking). There is a second bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and WC. Oil fired heating if required. Terracotta floors throughout.

Notes: This lovely detached villa sits in a large lawned garden with many plants and trees. Excluusive to the guests there is a lovely swimming pool (approx. 8m x 4m), which is situated alongside the house. Large well kept garden with outdoor furniture and barbecue. There is also a private parking area. The affable landlady and her 3 cats live on the premises. Previous guests appreciated her warm welcome and reserved manners.
