Very accessible area, 30 mins to airport [Nimes] t.g.v. 45 mins to Montpellier & beaches, 30 mins Cevennes mountains, canoeing on the Gardon river, & 3 golf courses.

The chateau is situated in a medieval hill village, surrounded by vineyards & open countryside, close to the river Gardon & near the Cevennes mountain region. Uzes, the premier duchy of France is only 20 minutes away, a fascinating medieval town with many historical buildings, lots of restaurants & a marvellous market every Saturday. From Uzes it is only another 30 mins to Avignon for shopping & gourmet dining, via the Pont du Gard, an important roman aqueduct. Nimes, with 2 good golf courses, marvellous Roman remains, including a renowned arena, temple & gardens, good shopping & restaurants is 30 minutes away & only 30 minutes from Nimes are miles of sandy beaches nr. Montpellier,& the roman town of Arles, the gateway to the Camargue national park. Orange, another Roman town is also easily accessible, with a summer opera festival & nearby many famous vineyards in the Cotes de Rhone & Chateauneuf de pape region. There is an airport & a tgv station at Nimes , Montpellier & Avignon.
