Photos and Description of this Gwynedd - Snowdonia holiday bungalow 5 star self catering cottage in the scenic Snowdonia National Park

Glanllyn Lodge has been completely renovated and sympathetically restored and is full of charm and character. It has been awarded a 5 star Wales Tourist Board Grading and comprises of 3 bedrooms (one en-suite double, one twin and one single bedroom). There is a luxury bathroom with spa bath, a large fully equipped oak kitchen/diner and a cosy lounge with sky TV & Dvd player. Bed linen and towels are supplied. Occupants of the Lodge have access to 16 acres of parkland with mature trees, a meandering river and a large shingle beach by the lake. Private access for fishing, caoeing and sailing. This parkland is also used as a touring caravan/camping park during the Summer months. The small market town of Bala is 3 miles away with plenty of small shops, pubs & restaurants and a leisure centre. The Lodge is centrally located for visiting the many attractions and beauty spots of North and Mid Wales.

Glanllyn Lodge is situated in the southern area of the Snowdonia National Park, close to the Aran, Arenig, Berwyn and Cader Idris mountain ranges. There are plenty of local mapped walks to suit all capabilities. The National Whitewater Rafting and Canoeing Centre is 5 miles away and one of Britains best mountain bikng centre is in nearby Dolgellau. Bala is the home of one of Wales's Great Little Trains with a scenic 4 mile track alongside Bala lake. There is a Sheepdog Exhibition Centre nearby, also quad biking on a hill farm. There are a host of other outdoor activies available locally also a Watersports Centre for courses in sailing, caoeing or hiring equipment. Bala lake is popular for coarse fishing with plenty of pike, perch, roach & grayling.
