Villa Ella's Location:
Villa Ella is located in a quiet area of Agrilia just a short walk away from Laganas. It is surrounded by Olive groves and is very private but close enough to the shops and supermarkets for those essential items. The beach is approx 1.5km which is an enjoyable walk both during the day and in the evening. Taxi's are handy and charge around 6 euros into Laganas. There are horse riding stables in walking distance and you can hire locally a car, motorcycle or bicycles for the more energetic!
The island has many very nice beaches but two have an interesting bonus. Laganas and Geraka are home to the Caretta-Caretta sea turtles. Here these creatures come ashore at night to mate and to lay their eggs, a fascinating site for those with an interest in biology. At night Zakynthos city and Tsilivi offer good options for dining and accommodation. The capital Zakynthos offers fantastic views across the harbour and many resturants to chose from. Tsilivi is approximately 15 minutes by car
