The Old Bakery is a 4 bedroom house located in the medieval village of Trémolat. The village has a full range of facilities, bakery, small supermarket, garage,and 6 places to eat ranging from bar to the Michelin star Vieux Logis whose grounds back on to ours. We are just half an hour away from Bergerac airport with flights to 8 UK airports. The village has rail link to Sarlat to the east and Bergerac and Bordeaux to the west.

Nearest Ferry: St Malo at 400 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Trémolat at 1 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Perigeux at 40 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Trémolat is ideally situated for all the attractions of the Dordogne. We are just a short car journey from the prehistoric caves of the Vezere valley, Lascaux, Font de Gaume etc. The area is rich in chateaux, vineyards and medieval villages. The village has a full range of facilities, small supermarket, bakery, no fewer than 6 places to eat, garage, post-office and weekly market. The Bassin Nautique with water sports facilities, canoe hire and tennis courts is a short walk away. Mini-golf course at the end of our grounds.

The village of Tremolat is beautiful (bakery, little shop and pizzeria a bonus) and a great place to base yourself for the whole of the Dordogne area and the Bastides villages. It is also close to canoeing adventures as well as the tree adventure parks for those with kids. We enjoyed the house, garden, and pool and had a wonderful experience overall. The owners were very accomodating and easy going - a very relaxed and enjoyable time for my family.
