This self catering apartment is set within a secure private complex with surveillance cameras. The complex is in an excellent location only 5 min walk to the beach and Alvor centre, so no need for a car. It's location provides easy access to a number of top golf courses. The complex has 2 swimming pools (adults and children's splash pool). Accommodation consists of one double bedroom, a bathroom, a living room area which has a dining table for 4 and a sitting area that has 1 sofa bed. The kitchen has all mod cons and the balcony has great views of the sunsets in the late, spring, summer & early Autumn. We provide bath towels, sheets, we have 2 types of heating, air-conditioning, a washing machine, 4 ring hob, an oven, a micro wave, DVD player, Satellite TV, hair dryer, a safe, iron & Ironing board. We can organise transport from the airport if required.

Alvor is a small fishing village, 45 mins drive from Faro airport with beautiful sandy beach thats 4km long and has great facilities for eating and having a few drinks. Alvor has traditional cottages, cobbled streets, and picturesque harbour area with amazing sunsets all of this adds to Alvor unique charm. The Village has an excellent selection of restaurants with a wide variety of choice and the standard of food and service is very high. The bars are varied, with a good choice of live music. Alvor has facilities for tennis, windsurfing, and golfers are well catered for. Children will also be entertained at the numerous theme parks and water parks, at slide & splash, zoomarine and the algarve shopping centre.

Alvor: The Algarve has a temperature climate almost all year round and boasts about 300 days of sunshine. Tourist season extends from March to October and it only really quietens down in winter. The wonderful sandy beaches of the Algarve are unspoilt and amongst the best in the world.

Local Food & Drink: The local food just has to be tried, with fresh fish straight from the mornings catch. Most restaurants have charcoal grills, producing some of the best food of the region. There is also a good selection of Italian & Pizza restaurants, Chinese Indian's and good Steak Houses. A lot of the bars have live music. There are also quieter bars for those who prefer the sound of good conversation.

Shopping: Typical tourist Shops in Alvor, For A good days shopping go to the Portimao Town Centre - good for shoe and handbag shopping. Excellent leather shops. Algarve shopping center open 10.00 - 22.00 in the winter and till Midnight in the summer. There are plenty of shops and food eatery/restaurants.

Great location, fantastic apartment

Stayed in this apartment in June 2008 for 1 week, great location, the apartment was spotless with everything you could need, towels etc, Kitchen was great too. Washing machine, juicer, coffee machine etc. Very happy with it. Will be booking it again next year. 1 minute walk to Alvor village centre and 2 minute walk to the beach. Very clean and private complex, can't recommend it highly enough.

The apartment was home from home,clean,tidy,spacious and in a very good location.The pool is very nice and quite to relax by even though we went in peak season and if you want to go to the beach your only a stones throw away.As we just like to relax on holiday Alvor is the place to be,there are plenty of things to do if you wish and nothing is that far away.
