Poseidon House is 5 minutes from the local airport, 10 minutes from the local golf course, and 15 minutes from the town centre of Kudat. Many local restaurants can be found in the town centre, ranging from local Chinese cuisine, to Malaysian and Indian cuisine.
Local attractions include golf, island hopping, water-sports (snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, kayaking), beach walks and jungle hikes. Island hopping and fishing trips can be arranged upon request. (There are over 35 off-shore islands and atolls around Kudat) Local antique, fish and vegetable markets in the town centre of Kudat hold a wide and varying selection of tropical fish and vegetables for sale, making local shopping experiences one to remember.

There are two primary industries in the town of Kudat; that of the coconut palm, and the other of fisheries. Although the coconut cultivation industry is almost dried out, thousands of acres of magnificent coconut groves remain. A drive down the miles of winding gravel roads reveal some of the most beautiful old wooden plantation houses built by the Chinese settlers hundreds of years ago.
Fishing, on the other hand, is still going on. An early morning visit to the local fish market can result in the reward that is to watch some traditional wooden fishing boats come into the harbor to unload their trip's catch. Ocean live fish, squid, tiger prawns and scallops are plentiful and cheap in the town centre of Kudat. Its quite the experience to purchase a catch of your choice at the local fish market, then make your way to your favorite local restaurant. At this point, the local chef will be delighted to prepare it for you in any way of your choice.
