You will be able to enjoy the 'French way of life', as you can do your shopping on foot, buy your fish straight from the boat just across the quay , appreciate food and drinks from 'Le café de France' few doorsteps away, take a stroll along the harbour, have several invigorating swims a day as the beach is so close. In the large enclosed garden, you will be able to enjoy your meals: extra fresh seafood, locally grown vegetables and other French delicatessen.

Barfleur is a charming fishing harbour full of history: William the conqueror left from here in 1066. You will be able to enjoy the 'French way of life', as you can do your shopping on foot, buy your fish straight from the boat just across the quay, appreciate food and drinks from the different cafés and restaurants, take a stroll along the harbour, have several invigorating swims a day as the beach is only 1 minute walk from the house. Barfleur being in the Cotentin peninsula, has a similar micro-climate to The Channel Islands which gives mild temperatures ,exotic and lush vegetation. The preserved coastline offers a wide range of habitats and is kingdom to Nature lovers. There also are varied types of beaches: rock pools, creeks, dunes... Barfleur is ideally spotted to discover the rest of the area: historical sites such as the Normandy Landing Beaches, Le Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux Tapestry but also the Natural Park des Marais du Cortentin, the aquariums of Cherbourg.
