This chalet has the ‘wow’ factor. The views are unsurpassed and the chalet is very spacious and comfortable with private facilities for all bedrooms. The bathroom to the master bedroom has a spa bath and massage shower made accessible to all by a second door from the hallway. In addition there is sauna and jacuzzi room with shower and, for the energetic, table tennis. You may prefer to toast your toes in front of the log fire while gazing at mountain ranges. Although 400m only from the resort centre(be warned the last 40 m is steep) the nearest cable car is 800 m away but has the benefit of adjoining ski shop with ski store and boot drier. Daily transport is, therefore, provided to a choice of set-off points, unless you choose to drive to the resort and are happy to be independent.

Ski Area

Morzine and Ardent nestle at the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski region with a choice of 5 cable cars accessing this, the largest linked ski area in the world. The 650 km of pistes suit the needs of all abilities of skier and snowboarder with over 200 lifts linking the 12 ski stations in France and Switzerland. Take a voyage of discovery and experience magnificent panoramas, fly down open snowfields, down wooded paths in the shade of forest pines, negotiate snowy bumps knowing there will be a cosy bar or sun drenched terrace awaiting you.

Portes du Soleil

With the height ranging between 1000 and 2466 metres, this may seem low to some but, situated further north than other ski areas, Portes du Soleil enjoys an excellent reputation for good snow, the season stretching from mid December to the end of April. As you travel around the region, you may never ski the same run twice and there is almost always the choice of a hard or easy way down with a welcoming restaurant or bar with terrace awaiting you, to relax and enjoy the sunshine and spectacular scenery. If during your days on the slopes there is a white-out or snow fall, there are lovely forest paths to investigate where you can be assured visibility. Snowboarders are welcome in Les Portes du Soleil with the choice of three snow parks and frequent competitions to watch that attract the best in the world.

General & Summer

A traditional market town in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, Morzine is dominated by attractive chalets spread across a river gorge, bordered by partially wooded slopes allowing skiing in poor weather conditions. Morzine, at 1000m, is the most northerly of the French Alpine resorts (with the exception of the areas of La Grande Terche at St. Jean D'Aulps and Mont Drouzin), and weather wise benefits from the Mont Blanc microclimate. The resort also has a bustling summer timetable including mountain biking, golf, walking and caving amongst others. It is rumored that total number of visitors is actually greater in the summer season. The municipal swimming pool is olymipic size and caters for the bustling tourist flock, but it immaculately maintained.

Skiing Information:

Skiing Morzine-Avoriaz is known as the centre of the local ski area, and is 3 minutes away by bus in season. Avoriaz and Les Get are easy to access as well. Morzine Morzine features restaurants and bars beyond count, and numerous high quality shopping areas. In winter it features an Olympic Skating rink as well. But it's main attraction is that it is a central and busy hub of the Porte Du Soleil skiing region.
