Villa Farrelli is a spacious, traditional farmhouse located in the stunning Sibilini Mountain National Park in Le Marche. The Villa was built over 300 hundred years ago in traditional stone and brick, which makes it beautifully cool during the summer. The house was fully restored in 2007 to a very high standard, and retains original features including beamed ceilings throughout, and has an informal feel, with plenty of natural light. The property had 5 spacious double bedrooms (4 with single beds joined for flexible sleeping arrangements), 3 of which are ensuite and the other two share a bathroom which makes them ideal for a family. The 5th bedroom is on the ground floor which makes it ideal for those who want a bit of privacy or who don’t want to use stairs. Downstairs the property has a spacious hall, large sitting room with three 3-seater leather sofas, a 32 inch TV and DVD and a large area for reading and/or playing games. Outside is a 10x5m salt water pool, a 2 acre wooded garden

Local Area

Villa Farrelli is situated in the Sibilini Mountains, which is a National Park sharing a border with Umbria. Consequently the views around the Villa are spectacular, the air is clean and there are many good walks and cycle trails. It also means that the area is peaceful, although during the summer practically every little village and town has a Festa/Festival, including little Taccarelli which has a 4 day Festa at the beginning of September. The locals are very friendly and as more British are finding Le Marche, so English is generally well understood.

Renovation

Villa Farrelli has been fully renovated this year and a new swimming pool has been installed. Consequently the gardens are still being landscaped, but will be ready by Spring 2008, when the pool will be lined and filled. The pool has steps down to it, and is salt water, with an outdoor shower by it. The pool is not fenced so parents must be vigilent with children as they will need to be supervised. There is a large store room by the pool which contains the garden furniture, and at the bottom of the garden is a small wood, ideal for hide and seek. The hamlet of Taccarelli is compact, containing maybe 15 houses, of which Villa Farrelli is the largest. The locals are extremely friendly and like life and noise in the area, so feel free to enjoy the gardens to the full.
