Apartment: Sleeps four and consists of one bedroom with a double bed and two sofa beds in the lounge, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, separate toilet, ski locker, private parking, secure garage for sports equipment, bicycles, canoes, motorcycles, etc. may be stored. Winter Activities: Skiing – Les Arcs, La Plagne, La Rosiere, Tignes, Val d’Isere Summer Activities: Cycling on and off road - with the Tour de France route on its doorstep, there is every opportunity to ride up the most challenging of Cols. With off road cycling through mountain passes, it is a must for the mountain bike enthusiast. Canoeing - The international centre provides excellent canoeing and rafting down the river Isere. Other activities: Hill walking, a municipal park with in/outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a vehicle free riverside walk, running/roller- blading route. Para-gliding off the majestic mountain tops. There are also superb restaurants, cafes, bars and supermarkets nearby.

Nearest Airport: Chambery, Grenoble and Geneva at 80 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Albertville at 30 Kilometres

Located in Bourg St Maurice a size able town set in rural alpine surroundings on the French/Italian border. In summer the area is ideal for cyclists with the Tour de France routes up and over the Cols and plenty of off road cycling for the mountain bike enthusiasts. The apartment is central for other activities include hill walking with the Vanoise National Park and the more tranquil walks in the Beaufortain mountains. Alternatively if you are experienced in canoeing, why not use the apartment as a base for the International Canoe Centre a very challenging course nearby. With restaurants, cafes and bars all around, weekly markets and pedestrianized town centre Bourg St Maurice is a wonderful place to stay.

Best skiing trip yet!

Thanks for what turned out to be our best ski trip yet! We really liked Bourg St. Maurice and found the train up to Les Arcs to be a good beginning and end to the day! The ski rental place at the station was excellent and the Paradiski area is certainly up there with the best.

We loved the flat and would very much like to return one day. Nicole who who met us at the flat at the beginning of the week, kindly accommodated an early departure to avoid those monstrous Saturday queues. We cleaned the flat before we left so hopefully her task was not too difficult.

Thanks again. We had a terrific time.

Great base for skiing

We stayed in the apartment in April 2008. The description was very accurate. It was very central, parking was easy and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The apartment block was extremely clean and the actual partment was the cleanest I have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend it for both skiers and people looking to spend a holiday in Bourg in the summer. The key holder was very helpful in the resort and booking the apartment was straightforward. I would highly recommend this property, although 4 adults might find it a bit crowded. We were 1 adult & 2 children. My only caveat would be that the walk to the funicular is a bit longer than 300 m and too much for children but you can park for free next to it so this isn't an issue.
