The villa is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Axarquia region of Andalucia. Set in a small enclave of individual villas, the property is within easy distance of the local village of Puente de Don Manuel (Mr Manuel's Bridge). The villages of Periana, Viñuela and Alcaucin are within easy distance and all hold local fiestas throughout the summer. Aroungd the lake itself there are some lovely restaurants (including an Indian tented restaurant). In the village there are various bars and restaurants, both Spanish and English and music and entertainment is available most evenings in the summer. 10 minutes away is the Arab town of Velez, with its old stone walls and the fabulous indoor food market. The Axarquia valley boasts 40 white-washed villages for you to explore, all with their own traditions and festivals, Comares, Rio Gordo, Benamargosa etc. In the local village of Los Romanes you can purchase olive oil from the local crops. Here you can enjoy the Real Spain.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Changeover day is Saturday. Guests are asked to vacate the property by 10am on the day of departure and not to arrive before 4pm. To secure the booking, a non refundable 25% deposit is required, with the full balance due 8 weeks before departure. Payments to be made in Sterling by transfer to a UK bank. A deposit of £500 per rental is also required (to be paid when the balance is paid), against the possibility of damage/breakages, non returned keys etc. This amount will be refunded in part or full, within 2 weeks after vacation. In the event of cancellation:
    Within 4-8 weeks of departure, where we are unable to re-let the villa, we will retain 50%.
    Within 2-4 weeks before departure, we will retain 75% of the rental value.
    Within 2 weeks of departure 100% (unless we can find an alternative renter).
    A welcome food package can be arranged, depending on your requirements.
