On the edge of the moors and within easy driving distance of the coast Pan Cottage is a self-catering, former farm workers cottage situated in a tiny village just outside the historic market town of Pickering. The ideal location for a relaxing luxury break. Near to Castle Howard - the stately home featured in the film 'Brideshead Revisited'. This is easily reached as is the the city of York with its famous city walls and viking museum. The North Yorkshire Moors heritage steam railway starts at Pickering and runs through country made famous by the TV programme - 'Heartbeat'. Walkers and Ramblers will find the area ideally suited with many walks to be found near to the cottage and wider afield. The North York Moors National Park boundary starts a mile from the cottage. A regular bus service runs through the village and stops near the cottage. An historic part of Yorkshire with a modern outlook.
